Crisfield It Is Election Time

The future is now Crisfield residents. For the first time in many years you will elect a new Mayor as Kim Lawson has decided to retire from the job. Two candidates are vying for this seat. Barry Dize and Charlotte Scott. For Crisfield City Council you have 5 people running for three available seats. Mark Konapelsky,  Leigh Ann Schoffstall ,James Hewitt Ford, Ruthie Todd and Gail Lankford. So residents what are your thoughts on the candidates and who should win?

Sounds like a bunch of "come here" names.

3:22 Good. Maybe they, and their family, won't rob the town blind!

No one really cares anymore - no one gets along - no one works together - everyone wants it, but no one can seem to turn words into actions.

Nelson Shepperd is also running for city council. His name was not on front page of article in County Times but was on the inside.

Yes, glad Kim Lawson is retiring. He should have did that a long time ago! I would vote for Charlotte Scott in a heartbeat and Barry Dize is a good candidate as well but I'd like to see Scott as the New Mayor of Crisfield.

No matter who wins, nothing ever changes in Crisfield.

I hope Barry Dize wins the election he is the most qualified candidate running and would do the most for the town of Crisfield. Charlotte Scott is just another corrupt politician that will continue to kick the can down the road.

Hi all! This is Leigh Ann Schoffstall. I was born and raised in Crisfield. I graduated from the now closed Crisfield Christian Academy in 1999. I supported CHS by goin to almost all of the basketball games. I grew up going to Liberty Rock Church and am still an active member. My family ancestors are Crockett’s, Lairds, and my siblings last name is McCready. I love my hometown and want to see it restored. The only way to do this is to have people on the council and a mayor willing to pull their sleeves up and get this town cleaned up. I tend to be “old school” and traditional. And I don’t make rash decisions. Please check my Facebook page. Ask around about me. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask me!
