Excellent to many entitled lazy people!

Woooo hoooo about time. Keep writing!!

Is this in Salisbury? Are we sure this is a parking lane violation he is getting? I didn't know the Maryland State Police issued parking citations? Can someone verify that?

Anonymous said...

It’s not a “parking” citation. It’s a citation for failure to obey a traffic control device.

Anonymous said...

FINALLY if it is true!

Anonymous said...

2 ways to issue parking tickets. 1, through municipal or county ordinance. 2, there is a transportation article pertaining to parking violations, which is a state citation. So yes, MSP can issue citations for parking.

You can't be serious with that dumb comment.

Parking in a fire lane has nothing to do with a "traffic control device." Those are stop lights Buttmunch! A sign is a sign, not a device you fucking idiot.

How is Walmart doing the busting when there is a state trooper out there and not a Walmart employee?

Anonymous said...

Shame on Jake Day, Jim Ireton, Barbara Duncan and the Salisbury City Police for allowing the Maryland State Police to do their Jobs for them!!

Anonymous said...

If you know the law so well, you would know that none of these people are “parking”. “Parking” requires you to place the car in park, turn the engine off and leave the vehicle. These vehicles are “standing”. The offense is failure to obey a traffic control device. Most of the signs say “no parking, stopping or standing”.

2015 Maryland Code
TRANSPORTATION
Title 11 - VEHICLE LAWS -- DEFINITIONS; GENERAL PROVISIONS
Subtitle 1 - DEFINITIONS
§ 11-167 - Traffic control device
Universal Citation: MD Transp Code § 11-167 (2015)
"Traffic control device" means any sign, signal, marking, or device that:

(1) Is not inconsistent with the Maryland Vehicle Law; and

(2) Is placed by authority of an authorized public body or official to regulate, warn, or guide traffic.

I LOVE ASSHOLES WHO DONT KNOW SHIT BUT THINK THEY DO!!! TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE IS A SIGN ASSWIPE!!

Anonymous said...

You....are an idiot. A simple Google search of Maryland Motor Vehicle Law-definition-Traffic Control Device will show you that a sign is a traffic control device. Sometimes it is better to stay silent and thought to be an idiot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. Leave police work to the professionals. Just upsize my meal to a large when I see you working McDonalds drive thru you uneducated twatwaffle. Yes, I called you that. You called me a “fucking idiot” for being right you pretentious shit stain.

Can’t wait for you to come back and admit you have no idea what you are talking about. Somehow, I know you won’t. You will silently fade away instead of admitting you know nothing and, on top of it, calling someone ignorant names due to your lack of knowledge. Man up and admit you spoke about something you had no right to speak about. I have PLENTY of experience.

Anonymous said...

And if you knew MD transportation articles you would know there are violations for this as well. Traffic control device applies more to roadway signage and signals.

Anonymous said...

A traffic control device is anything that is meant to control traffic flow and ir parking your vehicle. So yes a sign is or can be a traffic control device. Idiot. Secondly, stopping or standing still with your vehicle in park or not in that fire zone is still a violation. If your vehicle is "stopped on or next to that curb than you are impeding a fire truck or other emergency vehicle from getting access to the store".

Anonymous said...

There are specific violations for stopping, standing, and parking a motor vehicle that would apply to fire lane violations, over this bs failure to obey traffic control device. And traffic control device applies to roadway, not a fire lane in a parking lot dumb shit.

Anonymous said...

Um, 8:05 said that they are violating the traffic control device because it includes the words “parking, stopping or standing”. It’s called reading AND comprehension. Also, it does not apply “more to roadway signage and signals”. Look up the definition. It includes private property used by the public in general. This means parking lots you idiot. You must have been trained at Wor Wic by John Moses. That explains everything.

Anonymous said...

Glad there are other educated law enforcement on here!!

You must be the same police officer who stopped me for making a left turn on red from a one way street onto another one way street. He walked up and asked if I knew why he stopped me. I told him that I had no idea. He told me I ran a red light. I explained to him that making a left turn on red from a one way street onto another one way street was legal. I then asked him why he illegally stopped me. He had no idea about traffic law. He looked it up and apologized. And yes, he was trained at Wor-Wic.

Bout time, they stand in the fires lane blocking the flow of traffic. Everyone knows your not supposed to be sitting there unless your loading up. They do it because no one enforces the rules. I stopped going there so much i go to other walmarts when im in berlin, pocomoke or fruitland. Berlin is really nice. The North walmart is such a pain in the a** to go to because of the traffuc parked everywhere and the ridiculous crowds.

Anonymous said...

Who gives a shit about this bullshit story.

Anonymous said...

This has nothing to do with what I stated above. Just admit you're wrong, don't know shot, and move along.

Anonymous said...

10:13 keep digging your hole. I gave you the definition. It doesn’t just apply to the roadway. It applies to private property used by the public in general as well. Which..includes parking lots. But, humor me, tell me what you advise the person is the reason for the stop when you pull up behind them? Do you tell them they are parked in a fire lane? Then you will find they are sitting in the car and it is not actually “parked” by definition (remember, to prove the violation, it has to meet the criteria and that includes meeting the definition). Do you tell them they are “stopped” in a fire lane? Then they tell you that they aren’t “stopped” and you look in and see that they are actually “standing” (by definition). You look like the dumb ass that you are. When you walk up to he car you say “good morning, the reason I stopped you is because you are violating a traffic control device that governs the fire lane. As you can see, you are not allowed to stop, stand or park your car in this are. By law, you are doing one of the three.” See how easy that is? You’re welcome. I honestly didn’t think I would have to teach someone motor vehicle law today. SMDH

Actually, it is very easy to enforce. We used to tell the people why we were there moving them along and issuing citations. With he rise in public shootings, detonation of explosive devices and armed robberies of businesses, it is a safety issue. Do you think that the person who is going to commit any of those crimes is going to park in a regular space and walk in? No, if the are robbing the place, they want the quick getaway. That car in the space may be the getaway driver. If they are going to shoot people or detonate an explosive, they want to be as close to the front of the store to inflict the most damage. It truly is proactive policing. Lastly, it was always fun pulling up to the cars sitting in front of the liquor stores at Pecan Square and Acme Shopping Center and finding someone who is already drunk stopping their car there to get more liquor. That was always a great DUI arrest.

11:08, it has ALOT to do with what you wrote. You said that signs are not traffic control devices and called someone a buttmunch and a fucking idiot when, in fact, YOU WERE COMPLETELY WRONG and the OTHER PERSON WAS RIGHT!!! They proved that you are
Full of shit and do t know what you are talking about. Quit trying to spin it. You fucked up. Own it!!!

You’re not even supposed to “load up” there.

Anonymous said...

10:13, I hope that you write me a ticket for parking in a fire lane some day. I can’t wait to make you look like the fool, that you are, in court. You will almost NEVER find someone parked in a fire lane. Because the people sit in their car and wait for someone to “run in and grab something” they are not actually “parked” by definition. I will beat that in court every day of the week and twice on Sunday. The appropriate charge is failure to obey a traffic control device. You are wrong. Ask your supervisor. Just admit it and move on. Trying to justify your logic makes you look foolish. Of course there are specific citations for each violation. But why would you want to get that far into the weeds and open yourself up to proving a definition in court. The sign (a traffic control device) is clearly in view, directing an action and the person is violating it. Plain and simple.

I use the north entrance because it is closer to the Metamucil...Ray

Take it from a mouth piece that practices traffic code enforcement. You all are in error. Some say they are not parked because they are under the wheel. Try telling the arresting officer that you are not driving while sleeping it off with a load on.

This crap all sounds like the left wing nuts blowing air. I'm sure it wasn't Donald J. Trump parked at WalMart. Chill we are at war.

Yeah, like I’m going to listen to a guy who stated that a sign isn’t a traffic control device and was proven wrong in epic fashion. If they don’t even know that much, that tells me all I need to know. Funny that person has never admitted they were wrong. They just keep arguing how they are right. Read the law. You are wrong and look like the idiot that you are. You came on and beat someone down and attacked them and, the fact of the matter is, you were wrong and had no idea what you were talking about. Facts are facts.

MSP! Please go to pecan square and do the same thing plus witness drugs deals and smell weed coming from the cars pulled up in the fire lanes with the jungle boogie booming.
