Wal Mart Grocery Pickup A Great Success

Today I tried the WalMart Grocery Pickup at the North Salisbury location, What a great experience they make it. If you haven't done so already you need to download the app for your device and then  start making your list. I will warn you ahead of time it is backed up so keep checking the app for the next available date and time, which could be three or four days away.

Upon your order and your reserved time you receive an email letting you know you have ordered. On the day selected just log into the walmart app and they will tell you to just check in when your on your way so they can be looking for you. Within minutes of pulling up, you will see the orange door opening on the side and your groceries on their way out to you.

I had a very nice young lady named Sabrina who put the groceries in the car. She was very nice and friendly and had a very pleasant demeanor. They explain any changes that were made to your order, which usually are in your benefit as they will upsize things or replace brands with equal or better.

I highly recommend this service for everyone and WalMart deserves a big thumbs up for such a streamlined process.

Thanks for this follow-up JT! Wife is more furios each time she goes with the self check-out and lack of staff to handle check out! We have observed the grocery pickup from the parking lot and it appears to look fine. I think we are going to start utilizing this benefit shortly! Still think Aldi's will help the prices drop a little more!

Thank you for your review. I'm looking forward to trying this out.

Why do you have to wait 3 - 4 days for pickup? I know stores on the western shore have same day pickup usually within an hour or two of placing he order.

Hope it cuts down on the inside floor traffic, especially those jitney's.

Nah I would rather go in the store and get what I want. I love the self checkout. I can get in and out in a few minutes

I can get a plumber quicker than that!

Chill out people! This service has just started and is the only one of its kind in the area. With all the people utilizing it of course there will be delays in the beginning. Everyone always has to be so negative!

Best thing is you don't have to go into the store and mingle with other WalMart shoppers/shoplifters.

10:01 get out the car and take your lazy butt in, your the type with cheese burger wrappers under your car seat.

just another poor excuse for you lazy people not to exercise shame on you

Actually 10:23, I have not and do not intend to use this service, however, I think it is great for who have mobility problems due to age or disability. Again, people like you always have to go negative, assume you have a clue as to what you're talking about and willingly show your ass. Try being positive for once in your life...you might live longer.

Or in my case, I have so much going on all the time and no free time, I can shop while laying in bed or taking a dump then pick it up on my way home from work. Its about convenience, not laziness.

1:22 If its your time to go then its your time, being positive or negative doesn't have anything to do with living longer DUMB ASSSS

Are you able to pickup your order in pajamas?

I cannot believe the negative comments that have been made. This is what is wrong with Social Media. I read the article to find out what this particular person thought of the service and the comments and my goodness people! Really? Why assume it has something to do with being lazy? You don't know everyone's situation and it is a convenient service for those that may have health issues, elderly or maybe time is an issue or they don't really like going into WalMart but like the prices. You can certainly leave a comment about liking or not liking the service without some of the nastiness in some of the comments. I'm sure it isn't always perfect, but it is certainly a nice service to offer and try out. I tried the mail service (just to see what it was all about)and it wasn't bad - just the packing wasn't the best and I let them know that maybe they shouldn't pack heavier items in with crushable boxes. It's a learning process.

2:10 and don't we all enjoy the convience of a drive thru!!!!! Hey it's a nice option for customers! If you want to go walk around inside the store and shop....more power to ya, its your option. Others may enjoy the pick-up service and this review was simply that....a review of that service. So SHUT THE HELL UP WITH YOU STUPID NAME CALLING!

10:30 where you see 2:10 name calling ? And how would you know who post if each comment is anon?

I'm usually a negative Nancy but there's nothing but positive about this!
Senior citizens, disabled people , not to mention busy moms , will benefit from this. Absolutely need groceries but your two toddlers are grumpy? Load them in the car and get your order right at your car.
