KRIS HEISER PRESS RELEASE

Date: April 30, 2018
To: All Media
Re: Kris Heiser Receives Another Key Endorsement from Law Enforcement
Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 10, has chosen overwhelmingly to endorse Kris Heiser for
Worcester County State’s Attorney -
After hearing from both candidates at a Lodge 10 forum, members of Worcester County’s
largest FOP Lodge voted overwhelmingly to endorse Kris Heiser for Worcester County State’s
Attorney. The vote was open to all members in good standing, including retired officers, and
results presented on March 23, 2018 showed Heiser had been endorsed by a margin of more than
2 to 1. Heiser stated “I am so humbled to receive such meaningful support from our county’s
law enforcement. I have worked very hard for over a decade to gain their respect and to earn
their trust as a strong, capable prosecutor. I am grateful that they are publicly recognizing me as
the best candidate for this position.”
Heiser, currently a prosecutor in Wicomico County, previously worked as an Assistant
State’s Attorney in Worcester County from 2008 through 2011, and has tried virtually every type
of criminal case, from DUI and domestic assault to drug distribution and murder. She comes
from a family of law enforcement, is married to a police officer, and believes that this
background gives her a unique perspective into the challenges facing police and their families
today. The Lodge 10 decision is Heiser’s latest law enforcement endorsement, following her
endorsement by current Worcester County Sheriff Reggie Mason.
Heiser further added, “I applaud Lodge 10 for its commitment to holding free and fair
elections where every member is allowed and encouraged to exercise their right to vote. The
results of this vote can be verified, trusted and relied upon by Worcester County citizens when
they make their decisions at the polls on June 26, 2018.”
By Authority of Citizens for Kris Heiser, Kelly Gee, Trea

True understanding of law enforcement! It is clear they have her back.

Law enforcement works hard and risk their lives to protect people and they want a prosecutor who is gonna get the job done. This says a lot!

Experience Matters! Vote McDermott

There are from my count 7 police departments represented in Worcester county and only 1 of them is endorsing her: the one where her husband works!! Wow!! Doesn’t sound like a “fair” election to me!!
I’ll be voting for Bill McDermott who is endorsed by all the other departments in the county and whose endorsement is actually unbiased and based on what matters, his experience and accomplishments!

Full Disclosure: McDermott voter here. McDermott was unanimously endorsed by all the members of Lodge 50, which represents the Sheriff’s Office, The Snow Hill Police Department, The Pocomoke Police Department and The Ocean Pines Police Department. Considering Lodge 10 is only The Ocean City Police Department and her husband is a voting member, shouldn’t this endorsement have been unanimous? The fact that it wasn’t is telling.

Also, can someone name some of the cases where she has got a conviction for murder? She keeps saying it…

You mean experience of violating people's constitutional rights?

Anonymous said...

Oh you mean Lodge 50? Where only a like 10 or 12 of members got to vote and not the entire membership. Also the lodge that Bill's wife, Mike McDermott, is a memeber. Oops.

Seems like someone is so annoyed by facts, and so angry over the truth, they throw spelling and grammar to the wind. You can always tell when a campaign gets desperate, because they unleash the Ad Hominem attacks on their opponent. Truthfully, if I were a Heiser supporter, I might do the same. Understanding she's been caught representing fake endorsements, has no significant case history to speak of (or at least hasn't named any) and continues to ignore requests that she verify just some of her many claims. Can't help but notice you didn't respond by naming a murder conviction... #fakenews

This is such a JOKE! Please, Please, Please, list your experiences somewhere, try your Facebook Page. Would be nice to see your experiences listed and not you at another bar! I guess endorsements come easy when you're the wife of a OC Police Officer, I know the officer code brother to brother, but come on people wake up you want this non-experience person in charge of your county? If I'm wrong Ms. Heiser please list your accomplishments where Worcester County residents can see them.

I think both candidates seem like good people. However, not receiving support from two thirds of the police department when you are the acting State's Attorney can't be good. It appears from the press release Ocean City had all of it's members vote. Retired officers too. I would like to know if that is the case with the other lodge.

Ok, well lets take it away from the FOP argument..who does Dykes support (if you dont know, thats the State Attorney in Wicomico that employs Kris now)? Do your research, overwhelming results will show they support McDermott.

8:44 a.m., I think you missed counted, there was over 30 members present, and the vote was unanimous, minus one, check your hubbies notes.

Not surprised. She will make a great State's Attorney for our county!

None of the other departments were represented. I never even heard about the vote and was not invited by my lodge. We all know it was fixed by Mike and Bill McDermott which did not make me and my fellow officers happy.. Trust me when I say the MAJORITY of officers in Worcester County have Heiser’s back we can see through the BS and know Billy is full of it.

Vote Heiser! Don’t worry Kris we all know the truth, they can try to spin it all they want. Keep the high road. You got this! Your a class act and everyone knows.

Funny to hear because I am a law enforcement officer in Worcester County (not Ocean City PD) and every other law enforcement officer that I have spoken with supports McDermott. Heiser cannot compete with Billy McDermott, and I have seen both of them in action.

A unanimous vote in an FOP lodge that is supposedly made up every Worcester County police agency except for Ocean City? (Correct me if I'm wrong on that) That sounds absolutely preposterous! Only 30 people voted. Do they only have 30 members? Lol. Who would believe that's not fixed? Everyone knows if you're going to cheat you dont give yourself a 100%. Drain the swamp! Vote Heiser.

You are an officer that’s been promised a promotion from the McDermotts if they win. We all know that. Good luck your going to need it! Drain the swamp vote Heiser!

Drain the swamp? This has to be a joke. This county is safer now than it ever was before. Name a big case McDermott or anyone in that Office has lost? Open a paper. Win after win, week after week. Sorry to burst your over dramatic bubbles but things have been great in Worcester County, and if they weren't Heiser would be talking about it. But she's as silent on that as she is on specifics about her own record.

For the Anonymous individuals that want to throw mud at Bill McDermott, you need get your facts correct before you post on a site. Did each of you know that Ms. Heiser was told not to post this article because all the facts are not correct and still went forward. I've learned in following her she is one that has the mindset it's better to ask for forgiveness before permission is this who you want in charge of your county State's Attorney's Office? I can tell you Bill McDermott never makes anyone promises, why don't you ask Heiser about all the empty promises she has made.

I personally dealt with the prosecutors in worcester county and have been impressed by them over and over again. They contact witnesses and victims and put on trials and win them. If she somehow wins this election I have heard that the good prosecutors don't plan to stay because she will be such a joke. I haven't heard any police officer that isn't friends with heiser's husband say they support her.

Your team should save the superlatives for your Website Bill. The last three posts read like cheesey campaign rhetoric. Real people don't talk like that. There's only one fact relevant in this post... Lodge 10 supports Heiser.

Anonymous said...

If you switch Heiser with McDermott in this post then it would be correct. Your simply confused. Thank you! Vote Heiser

JT
I have been reading your site for years. I must say initially I was proud of you for not taking a stance on this race. It is obvious you have not. You have been leaving it up to the voters. Saying that you are a journalist and know the McDermotts are not doing things correctly. In addition there have been some accusations about Heiser. I want to know your position. Trust your gut! I’m leaning towards Heiser

Anonymous said...

I second this! So right!

Anonymous said...

No they are not incorrect. Call Ocean City Lodge president. They will not confirm any endorsement of her. Surprised you didnt do that first JT before posting this.

Anonymous said...

Nah, Bill doesnt waste his time with this bullshit. Hes actually busy working.

Anonymous said...

No he's always said Mike was the problem, not Bill. No argumemt there. But You shouldnt lump someone into a negative category for the unfortunate circumstance of sharing a last name, without any relation.

Anonymous said...

Another lie? This is the same one who said Chief Harden endorsed her at the Republican dinner and then he fb posts that he doesnt endorse either side in the race immediately following. We're still trying to figure out how or why she thought she'd be able to pull a fast one on all of us that night.

Anonymous said...

for some reason if seems if you take a picture with her she thinks you voting for her...funny, i just want the free food..i am voting McDermott!

Anonymous said...

There ya go again you’re confused The endorsement is in writing.JT is not an idiot. Maybe you should focus on SBY news. Albero will only post positive comments about you not allowing any rebuttal. Your team Billy is just twisting the truth the same way as he does in court, for the campaign, in his press releases, and his 1 weak endorsement. Poor Judgment once again.Thank You! Vote Heiser.

Anonymous said...

First thing I would like to say is being a police officer this is getting ridiculous. Team Billy better learn some RESPECT for law enforcement. His team is trying to sling mud at HEISER because her husband, dad ,uncle, cousin and friends are police officers. Do you know the education you get just from that? It’s called life experience. That is something Billy will never have PERIOD! Plus Heiser has double Billy’s law experience. Then team Billy tries to belittle Heiser’s endorsements. FOP lodge 10 endorses, Sheriff endorses, almost every chief from Worcester County In addition to a crowd of officers, participated and were present at HEISERs announcement, NOT Billy’s.. HEISER is supported by business owners, law enforcement, and the PEOPLE of this county. So yes drain the swamp!! Finally #Beweiservoteheiser Thank You.

I’m sorry didn’t mean to lump the McDermotts together. I just assumed because they had the same name, same sighns locations, same slogan, same pictures and videos, same endorsements and of course the whole one two punch thing they were a Team. Lesson learned.
