Things are looking good in Salisbury! Watch all of A$$BURROW'S jealous and envious minions come and bash the City, I don't understand why they stay IF things are so bad? Why do they come back and write negative things after some do move away? All I can say is they must really love Salisbury and hated that they moved away so they have to justify it in their little minds! LOL Ha Ha Ha

Things have always "looked good" in Salisbury; it's only the sectors that change. 40 years ago, 13 from the college to the hospital was known as the "Golden Mile".

Things may be looking good in Salisbury, but it's been a bad week for Bob Culver. His biggest by far $$$ supporter in his last election campaign - Pete Richardson - passed away. And another big supporter, "doctor" Greg Belcher, was convicted of income tax fraud.

Richardson and Belcher are probably the main reason that Culver is now the County's executive, along with the poor campaign by Rick Pollitt and the democrat's statewide debacle last time around. Jack Heath is smart to run as an independent, not a democrat.

Birds of a feather...remember I THINK? It was Richardson's Company that auctioned the house of the destitute widows home that A$$BURROW ended up with in West O.C.? A$$BURROW has the nerve to talk about a good ole boys click, what do you think he and Alcoholic Bob are a part of?

12:23 PM Retail jobs? You consider that "looking good". Welcome to the minimum wage ghetto. They bash this place because it's a craphole. Low wages, part time, no benefits, HUD, food stamp community.

JT, please take notice.

On Assboro's blog "Thornton Crowe" has a post up today that supports a higher grade average to get and keep those County tuition grants for students at Wor-Wic. Of course, no credit is given to any of the council members by name, but it's a fact that several members -- Joe Holloway, and Marc Kilmer in particular -- are behind this change, which Culver is against. There are a lot of comments to the post that are critical of the entire program, which was Culver's idea.

Are you hearing comments by persons who once voted for Culver that they won't do that again?

1:18,

Back then (40 years ago) they were expanding the old "Salisbury Mall" and running ads that it "had it all." And the Downtown Plaza had Hess and Benjamin's as well as Vernon Powell, Fashion Shoppe, J C Penney, and Ralph & Gaskill, a drug store, etc. What a difference now, that mall is history and the downtown is a retail desert. All but one of those stores are long gone.

Back then Salisbury was still the retail and commercial center of the Shore, but that's no longer so.

Most comments to that Joe-hole's post by Crowe are against the Wor-Wic taxpayers' subsidy, but the public may not know or remember that it was Culver's idea.

2:35 well said! The other thing to remember is that now with Ebay, Amazon and stores opening on-line purchasing and free shipping the store locations in malls and shopping centers are not prospering as they have in the past! A$$BURROW, CROWE and their blind followers are to stupid to understand this fact. SPEWNEWS only knows how to hit the DELETE KEY! We won't have to tolerate one-term Bob much longer!

That post on Albero's blog is astounding. He and Crowe must not know that Culver proposed that free tuition program for Wor-Wic and is against raising the requirement to more than the lowest grade point average. It actually presents the council in a positive light (without mentioning any names).
Don't be surprised if that post disappears in the future because of the comments that tell the true story and point out who besides Culver support the program and who is against it.

Any idea of what will take over Labinal? That building is massive and its a shame that it just sits empty.

Jonathan,

The proposal to raise the salary for the next county exec to $130,000 is going to be discussed by the Council at their meeting on Tuesday. Can you post about that and the email address for each member that is listed on the county website, which is

edavis@wicomicocounty.org; jholloway@wicomicocounty.org; jcannon@wicomicocounty.org; johnhall@wicomicocounty.org; ldodd@wicomicocounty.org; mkilmer@wicomicocounty.org; mholloway@wicomicocounty.org

The report is not listed on the county website.

7:23 AM No dear, RicK Pollitt is the reason Culver won.

This is a thread about a new store opening, but the majority of posts are anti-Albero rantings. Do you people have a life away from JA?

Anonymous said...

8:45 Don't know JA, but I know an A$$BURROW! I would rather talk about that idiot than anyone I know! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha He deserves every minute of it, all he does is trash talk the City of Salisbury, if he doesn't like it or MISS IT so much he should just dry up and move farther away. The majority of us love Salisbury so we will defend it by talking trash about whinny "little man" known to us as A$$BURROW or BUTTHOLE take your pick!

Response to 8:45 AM...

It's best to keep a close watch on that jackass, especially when he is behind your back.
