Starbucks Looking To Move To South End Arby's Location In Salisbury

Starbucks is ready to make the move to a new location on the south end of town. It seems they have been eyeing a drive thru location on that end of town. They currently have a smaller walk in location in the Sea Gull Square shopping complex further south. It isn't clear yet if they will keep that one open if they get this one built.

Great! More low paying jobs with no benefits! Just what douchbury needs.

Ditto 9:07.

I agree 9:07, I can not understand why people will pay a ridiculous price for something that is not as good as something cheaper. I think it must be an ego thing or something.

I think McDonalds coffee is far superior to anything Starbucks has. But what do I know, I'm just an average guy.

I drink coffee made in my own kitchen and save tons of money. Occasionally will get coffee from Royal Farms or Dunkin Donuts if I'm out and about. Glad they will be doing something with that piece of property though.

Why didn't they just leave the Arby's there? Just crazy!!!

To those who thinks that McDonald's is superior to Starbucks. That's cool-- keep your 600lb selfs there and eat and drink off your $1.00 coffee and McChicken and nasty fake meat.

To respond to the "low paying jobs with no benefits" comment, Starbucks starts their new employees out at around $11.00 an hour and has a scholarship program for their employees which is great for a young person who is struggling with paying for their higher education.

@1:02- Why assume because some people like McDonald's coffee that they are eating the food too? Also, those fancy coffees at Starbucks are full of chemicals and artificial flavorings.. Yuck.

Same here. And if I want some added favor I’ll throw in a splash of milk and a squirt of Hersey’s Caramel Syrup. Total cost about 10/cent a cup.

1:49 Wow! you think a little under $23K per year is good? You must have a very low quality of life.

Not meant to be a living wage. This is an entry level job or a job for an SU student working around a class schedule.

I love making my own coffee in the morning. Starbucks coffee is bitter and overpriced.

It would be nice if a Chick filet would take over the Wendy's building and the Arby's building. They would certainly be busy with customers.

@3:44. My post was in reference to college students who are willing to work and also reap the benefits of a scholarship at the same time.

However, the ignorance of your post towards "my quality of life" couldn't be farther from the truth. I work 3 jobs and go to school for the betterment of my career.

Think before you type. Not all people are hateful and scornful like you.

I know plenty of people who will drink McDs coffee (or breakfast biscuits/hashbrowns) but won't touch any of the rest of their food.

Starbucks is nasty burnt coffee, filled with tons of sugar and artificial flavorings. McDonalds uses real whole milk (or 2% or soy) and real caramel syrup, etc.

Dunkin Donuts used to be good, but now they expect you to stir your own coffee (gasp) and Wawa is decent, but you have to walk in to make it yourself (OMG!)

I work for the county, we don't drink coffee in the morning, only rum.

@10:21- Starbucks is known for the fact that they provide benefits.

They should take over the old Wendy's location right there.

Wendys and Arbys should be bulldozed and then the county can build a detox center for its employees

More slave wage jobs.
