Worcester County Sheriff Candy Screening

The Sheriff's Office will be conducting free candy screening at the Circuit Court Market Street entrance on October 31st from 5pm to 7:30 pm. We wish to remind everyone to be mindful of the little ones in their costumes as they venture out in our towns. The towns of Berlin, Snow Hill and Pocomoke have established 5pm to 7pm as designated times for trick or treating

Urban legend. There has NEVER, EVER been a documented case of tampering with trick or treat candy. It would be stupid to do so because the children could easily remember where they received the suspect candy.

James Jospeh Smith put niddles in candy bars and a small child was injured. He was charged for the crime. Fact.
