Salisbury is not a big city. It's a small town with big city problems. Section 8 is the main draw in the area. No jobs, no decent eateries, no entertainment, no vision, etc.,etc. I was not a fan of his, but if Chief Dykes were still alive and well the crime would be much less. He was a hands on servant of Salisbury and would do anything he would ask of his team. You don't need to agree, just my humble opinion.

chief Dykes would not have played with these thugs, and he damn sure wouldn't have fed em pizza. section 8 and rentals have taken over this area and there is no end to it. now we bow down to people who refuse to work and keep giving em handout after handout while I have to work 2 jobs. I love driving to work and see people lined up wearing pajamas waiting for the convenience store to open. They need their lottery tickets and 25 oz beers. after that, it's nap time til dark.

The police aren't allowed to go after crime like they need to because they will be called racist by the media who wants and promotes chaos.

JT wake up, it's not a big city. Even if it had the population numbers of Wicomico County it would still be a small town with 100,000 people. Salisbury will never be a big city in our lifetimes.

Now it has big city crime and that is because of the black population, no I'm not a racist, but if that makes you feel better, ECI and RENTALS! With nearly 95% rentals in Salisbury the price comes with the problems of a high crime rate. Yes people like JT live in a rental, but that doesn't make them a criminal, just their choice.

ok ok ok. Listen up Culver, when you, Poole, and the corn man start alcohol and drug testing county employees me and my crew will stop ratting out what these fools are doing each day. Even if you have to fire half of them nobody will notice anyway. Do we have a deal?

300,000 people in the city??? LOL!!!

I think there's good eateries in Salisbury. Plus, there's most of the better chain restaurants and fast foods. Jobs are the only thing lacking, but that has always been the case.

8:52 PM WOw, dont get out much do you?

don`t blame the police for crime, the police catch a lot of criminals, blame the judges and prosecutors who let the criminals go free with a slap on the wrist. catch and release might be considered ok for fishing but it`s considered willful negligence in the criminal justice system.

here`s a real world example from salisbury, a dude breaks into a house and robs the occupants at knife point he is charged with 4 felonies and 6 misdemeanors, he goes to court and pleads guilty to 1 misdemeanor and is let go with all other charges dropped.

a slam dunk open and shut case and the judge and prosecutor would rather play catch and release than to thrown a dangerous criminal in prison. the police will never be able to control crime in an area with a corrupt legal system.

i don`t go into salisbury, the furthest i go into salisbury is to the DMV only because it`s about a half mile off of the bypass.
i moved here from the baltimore area 25 years ago so i know what a simmering, bubbling, cesspool looks like and smells like, that`s why i never venture too far off the bypass into the deep end of the cesspool y`all affectionately call salisbury.
