Beau Oglesby Best Choice For New Worcester County Judge

The Retirement of the Honorable Thomas C. Groton has left an open slot in Worcester County Circuit Court.

Jeffrey Burton Cropper, David Charles Gaskill,  Mary Margaret Kent, Beau Hendrick Oglesby and
Regan James Reno Smith were the names sent to the Governor for consideration. Beau is the perfect fit for what Gov Hogan is looking for, young conservative prosecutors who will easily do their 15 year term. I like that Beau has been diligent at putting criminals behind bars , and having a good relationship with local law enforcement agencies.  Let us hope Gov Hogan continues the good picks and selects Beau as the new Circuit County Judge

When did Tom Groton retire? Rick Bloxom had a retirement party last month but I haven't heard anything about Groton.

My bad. Groton retired in July and was succeeded by Brian Shockley. So there is an opening, just not to succeed Groton, but Bloxom instead.

You are such a turncoat!!! Michael Farlow is the best choice and you know that!!!!

This isn't about personalities this is about getting best people to serve their terms as possible

Mike Farlow wasn't selected to be forwarded to the committee

Farlow is a bad joke and BO is worse.

Regan Smith is easily the best of the bunch. Ms. Kent is also well qualified.

You mean like crime cover up day ??????

There are two openings, one to fill Groton's vacancy and one to fill Bloxom's. Groton retired August 4th and Bloxom retired in September. Shockley took over as administrative judge for Worcester County.

Grinch, in all due respect, you are saying this is not about personalities and on the other hand you keep saying Day of the mayors office is a good guy, etc. You do this about every time speaking of Day, because I've busted your seeds advising we need qualified candidates not nice guys. Thank you for listening.

With respect: The comments here will have zero influence upon the Governor, mine included. This will be done via backroom politics.

I don't think is judicial material. Having said that, any criminal found guilty will not get a slap on the wrist.

Regan Smith is the better choice.

If Regan isn't appointed by Hogan, Larry is nuts.

Couldn't disagree more, Beau is hated by most law enforcement. Not to mention, isn't he supporting someone for a political election? So he is proving right now that he will always be bias, and do what he wants and not what is right. Just like he has been. Now I guess he will support McDermott to be the next States Attorney. He is under qualified and has been Beau's errand boy from the beginning after Beau chased everyone else out of the S.A. office. What a false support for someone you have hated for many years. Disappointed by your political weak mindedness, and how easily your loyalty is bought.

Had to come look at this post after seeing your recent one... And I agree with people's changing opinions of you. Why change your loyalty now? Simply because of term limits and age? I smell crap. I use to appreciate your opinion, now it seems trite.
