Have Good Ol Boys Protected One Of Their Own In Delmar FD?

Andrew Rementer a member of The Delmar Fire Department had the membership vote to not pursue kicking him out after accusations of sexual harassment last night. Many are wondering if the good ol boys are just protecting their own.

Charges were make and he was judged to be not guilty. Mind your own business.

Way to represent, Andrew. Hope this girl gets a good lawyer.

They chose to retain his membership despite this being his third such incident. The act was caught on tape and the majority of the membership voted to remove him from their membership roles. Good Ole Boys get ready to meet Good Ole Lawyer. History will show it was easier to rid yourself of him than get sued. She will have a field day because of your stupidity.

Speaking of good ole boys why haven't you posted on the handicapped man who had his pants pulled down in front of Gordon s in chrisfield

The Dollar General robbery in Mardela Springs heard a guy name Micheal Jackson had something to do with it, from Delmar.

The decision should have been easy. Expel a member who has a history of sexual harassment and be done with this case or back the guilty party. They chose to go the difficult route and support a man with two previous cases of this behavior. You cant fix stupid.

Fire departments think they can get away with anything. To much of a club.

Big boy needs to keep his hands to himself.

I can't imagine anyone that looks like that is stupid enough to harass any one especially a female .

Anonymous said...

Made* And he did stand on the floor and admit guilt.

The person that said he wasn't guilty obviously ur short on info and should refrain from comments. He admitted it with his own mouth and there's film footage of it. Now since they kept him buckle up as the waves are gonna get bigger. Everybody knows he's wrong and they turn their head as to say do what u like. All the rest of the females should be careful bc they know there was at least 2 other times but chose the loop hole of non reported to excersize their decision when they better concentrate on where they are and not the mirror. Anybody in the fire service knows the good ole boy system if not ur in denial or blind. All in

(wasn't my comment) If you were presented a non biased view in accordance with all information and access to the video evidence than go ahead and reply with an actually educated response. If you have ever read or taken a class for sexual harassment and policies on progressive discipline then you should know better if there is no paper trail of prior occurrences as request of the at this point alleged plaintiffs in the past then that won't hold up in court, and by no means defending the accused (don't have all the details) but when placed in writing has to treated as a first offense by the investigating, the department was responsible for making that decision and appeared that there were more votes for disciplinary action than not, at your place of employment if you were accused of sexual harassment (first offense) by someone who has fraternized in a joking manor for years with no previous issues over an event that was not out of the norm and displayed no discontent at the time of the incident and continued to kid and carry on as normal, would you be dismissed on the spot or does your company have rehab/progressive systems? Especially when the occurrence was brought up a month after it occurred and after you had to bear unrelated news to same colleague that they were not going to get their way about getting someone else fired, if you don't know what's going on keep your uneducated comments to yourself. Must be easy to hide behind a computer and make accusations about events you aren't educated on knowing it won't come back to you, a true keyboard hero I'm sure your mother is proud

FYI, there is an update to that story by an eyewitness that has spoken at length to Doug. The story is not how it as shared and has gotten blown out of proportion. It's good that Jonathan left it alone. That's what should have happened in the 1st place. It's a total non-incident.

Haus just likes his women. It's bad when a fire dept has to install cameras everywhere because the members are having sex in every nook and cranny.

Anonymous said...

Looks like a creep.

Anonymous said...

If the female filed a complaint and it's on tape he should be gone from the membership. No human resources person would think twice on keeping this guy.

Anonymous said...

So you were 1 of 16? Made it look like you had no knowledge of the incident and then bam...give a timeline that only insiders would know.

Anonymous said...

Fire depts are just big orgy fests.

Anonymous said...

Do you think the majority will start that Maryland side department?

Anonymous said...

I can't believe this was brought to a vote by membership I mean in my eyes it should be automatic expulsion from the company.

Anonymous said...

I hope the girl owns Delmar VFD.

Anonymous said...

Delmar school moms big fans of fire dept
Just say in

Anonymous said...

U got that right...lots of fire bunnies out there. Are u jealous?

Aaron Osterwalder said...

So what previous complaints were filed? None? Unfortunate

Anonymous said...

Is he the fire chief or was he recently?

Anonymous said...

Then u put out the fires ASSHOLE.

Are you upset that someone that knows more than you, countered you and you don't actually have an intellectual response? So you resort to speculation that continues the trend proving that you actually have no idea what you are talking about, Because that is an incorrect statistic? So someone that defends the integrity of an entity that only exists for public service, where most of the members voted to take an action. Is your recremendation to shut the doors on DFD? What is the intention behind bashing the department or does 24/72 slander solve every issue in 2017? What does this do for the public?

A reminder that the man you are all passing judgements on from behind your computer screens is a man who runs into burning buildings and saves lives. God bless our volunteer fire departments

Andrew is large and in charge all the time and a total idiot. Delmar should have taken the easy way out by ousting this cello but since they didn't look out more to come. Joey is just as bad and she can't stand him either.

Anonymous said...

Sorry the man should be gone DFD sent the wrong message to our community. Good ole boy or not, active person that helps or not don't matter.

Anonymous said...

Which gives him free range on touching people inappropriately?

Anonymous said...

9:44. Does this make the current situation not matter! What about the victim? Shouldn't she feel comfortable in her place of employment? Or no?

Anonymous said...

There's an old adage that says "where there's smoke there's fire" (pun intended). In this case it holds true. For years there's been s group of like-minded, career woman and "soccer moms", in town who have always told each other "stay away from this man", "don't be caught alone with this man". And it's not because we're a nefarious group of gossip spreaders, it's because we have just cause to spread the word and protect one another! My heart goes out to the true innocent in this situation, his child.

Did this happen at Station1

Anonymous said...

Sean Spicer jr lol.

Anonymous said...

His mom must be proud of him.

Anonymous said...

His ex is an awesome woman. He really screwed up when he blew up that relationship.

Anonymous said...

Polidore will fix all this when he becomes county fire commissioner. Mutual aide for everyone!

Anonymous said...

If you knew what you were talking about you would know that sexual harassment does not have to follow a progressive discipline policy, nor can they make you follow a chain of command. Your complaint can go straight to the top.

Anonymous said...

Palidore couldn't find his way out of a paper bag.

Anonymous said...

6:01, progressive discipline doesn't apply to sexual harassment/misconduct cases. Every, and all forms of discipline are applicable, including termination. Doesn't matter if it's the first time or the fifth time and it doesn't matter if there is a "paper trail" or not. The punishment will fit the severity of the charges the accused is found guilty of (if any). The real question is, did this particular female make it known that she did not want any physical contact between the two of them prior to the incident? Or do the two parties have a history of similar encounters with no prior complaints and then one day out of the blue she decides to file charges?

Anonymous said...

This person did not make any allegations until she was brought up on multiple charges. Seems like retaliation to me.

Anonymous said...

Ur so stupid...obviously u know nothing about this so just move on...she was brought up on nothing...its facts rest on themselves....hes a multiple offender so quit trying to blame the victim it doesn't wash...

Lynn B Parks said...

8:34 regardless, if he's quality of sexual harassment, who cares at what point she brought it out. She was probably quite due to the good ole boy system and when brought up on charges, probably had no other reason to fear their good ole boy intimidation. I'm a guy, but I don't condone or turn a blind eye to a crime such as sexual harassment! Do the right thing!!!!!!!

This and Station 13 still trying makes Wicomico fire service a big joke. I see the 13 BBQ is going again this weekend. No means no 13 and Andy!

First of all this is ridiculous. All of the comments are asinine and outlandish. Obviously if you don't know all of the details keep your nose to yourselves. Everyone is quick to make judgement without all details and quite frankly you've made yourselves look like idiots. This man has been in this department for years and has probably saved many of you along the way. He has a big heart and is a goofy fellow and never means any harm. If she felt "threatened" as some have pointed out then maybe her accusation should have come sooner, opposed to waiting several weeks and attempting to ruin this man's career as a VOLUNTEER fire man. In my opinion if she can't deal with the miniscule harassment the fire service has to offer maybe she should rethink her volunteer career. I'm sure a nursing home or animal shelter could use her poor tormented soul there instead.

Watch what happens . Time will show and that rig will respond. Any bets sign your name and amount .

Anonymous said...

You act like he doesn't have a history of this type of behavior. That my friend is what is sad.

Anonymous said...

She could have kept from saying anything because she needed the job. Some people remain in hostile work environments because they need the paycheck. It's sad it is that way. Yet it doesn't make her a bad person. I don't know either of them, just an outsider looking in.

Reminds me of that one fire department in Somerset County

Anonymous said...

The good ole boy system needs to end. We ended it in politics and need to end it in the fire departments. There is no checks and balances in fire houses. There are a lot of good people in Delmar FD. Please don't put a black eye on the whole department. They voted with a majority to kick him out. Need to get rid if a few more and that place will be great again. Doesn't matter what people did in the past have to judge them for what they do in the present and how they conduct themselves.

Anonymous said...

I've seen career firefighters fired for a post on Facebook several times. With the post being their first such incident. Sexual harassment can for certain get a punishment of expulsion.

Anonymous said...

WHAT DID HE DO?

Anonymous said...

Inappropriate touching. This was the only documented case but not the only time he has done such.
