Folk Festival Will Be Boon For Salisbury

I don't think people really appreciate the financial benefits the National Folk Festival will bring to the area. Even if 1500 people show up, that is a ton of money spent on area business. The lodging, the restaurants, the vendors. This is all good for our local economy because when people spend it here, it helps here. Mark your calendars for this next year it will be amazing.

Great point....I'm glad we sent a delegation to investigate this event... revenue is good!!!!

IT might last one year. After people come here and see what a hellhole it is they'll never come back.

Ok...we have a demographic that would largely prefer Gansta music. And you know what they're gonna be doing during the festival? Looking for a way to rip people off.

Salisbury is a beautiful City...plaza looks very nice and the Riverwalk area is wonderful....the only people complaining are those that read the SpewNews!

They can't Handel a bunch of kids at the Sby Fesival - how can they possibly do this?
And now I understand they are going to stop construction downtown for this.
I am thinking we are doing to much at once to quick.

It will bighlight how dangerous Sby is when a boatload of these people get robbed.

If this does happens, and I doubt it, I'm gonna make some money off it. I'm gonna set up an lottery webpage to guess how many tourists get raped while they're here.

This is never going to happen. This area simply does not have the resources to handle the amount of people this event normally draws.

How about an accordion festival ? Some sweet jams right there.
