Rivers Edge Apartments Letter To Editor

Mr Taylor,
As a resident of Rivers Edge Apartments here in Salisbury Md, I felt compelled to reach our to you to let people know of the spiteful and vindictive behavior of the management of our building.

During a week of some of the hottest weather of the summer many of us found ourselves without air conditioning. Many of us called the Office to ask for service and were basically dismissed and were told a.c. did not count as an emergency. After being given the run around for a week we finally reached out to WMDT tv 47 for help. As soon as this was known by management then we started getting some window a.c. units brought in to cool us off.

We reached out to community leaders including Delegate Sheree Sample Hughes , City Councilwoman April Jackson , Salisbury Code Compliance who all agreed to attend a meeting scheduled for yesterday evening at 5pm. Management was very aware this meeting was going to be held and yet yesterday when it was time for the meeting not only had the manager left, but the doors were locked and we were forced to meet outside in the heat yet again.

This is deliberate spite from the manager of our complex and I hope light can finally be brought upon the way people are treated here at rivers edge.

Anyone who chooses to live in Rivers Edge has poor decision-making skills and deserves to get screwed over.

Sorry to inform you but as a landlord I know the laws and AC is not considered a crisis situation. If it were Winter and you had no heat it would be a crisis but not AC. If you didn't have water, it's considered a crisis where the building would be condemned. These crisis things are outlined in the code. A new building with bad AC is something the developer is responsible for because the units shouldn't be going up this fast. Residential units are good for at least 15 years and commercial units are good for a lot longer.

all apartment complexes are owned by slumlords, they don`t care the tenants they only care about maximizing profits.Maintenance of the buildings and grounds is always the first thing that gets neglected when the owners want to fatten their personal bank accounts.
most of these owners of apartment complexes live in florida in mansions.

Ghetto apartments in the ghetto

Are these the apartments that were to be rented to artists and craftsmen?

Artists should not be allowed to suffer due to heat.Their creativity would be greatly impaired.

Your buddy Jimmy Ireton's legacy coming to fruition. Expect more to come.

The quality of life in a rental unit is in direct proportion to the amount of rent the tenants pay.

She is one of the nastiest people you will ever meet. Do yourself a favor don't go where she is . Courtney cares about one thing and that's your rent other than that you can go to hell

Things is a little bit better when yoi can talk to Candi she's nice and at least tries to explain things and treat us like humans. I talked to her when my ac was out and she was apologetic and honest and didn't give me a run around at least but her hands is tied if her boss ain't letting her do nothin. I don't even go in that office unless I know she's thr one there.

This is what you can expect when you rely on Government to take care of you.
