Cracker Barrel The Latest

In my ongoing attempt to keep the public informed of the latest news involving getting Cracker Barrel to our area, I can bring you the following.

Obviously the Gander Mountain location is on their radar since it is in the exact area they originally started looking at. The other area as previously reported by me is the Days Inn location beside Toys R Us On North 13. Cracker Barrel is possible looking to buy the location from them.

Thanks for the update...I hope they do get here, nasty Golden Corral needs to completely remodel or close....when you walk in the stink is worse than entering a unkempt nursing home! Bob Evans just way to slow and under staffed.

Great!!!! What a sign of progress.

Days Inn location is perfect, considering the trash hauling business located right behind there. The garbage food could go straight into the dumpsters that way!

Why get all excited about chain food? What we need to support are local restaraunts and local business owners who invest back into the community. Not large corporations that take in our money and export it out of town.

Will you have a LESN luncheon there when itz built??

We need new places for people to shoot each other at.

Cracker barrel is a racist name ...how about if a restaurant was called thug n barrel.

It amazes me how many people are gushing over subpar food. There's already enough of that in Salisbury. How about supporting the local places!!

9:10am, while i'm in agreement of the subpar food in chains, local restaurants are not better. Lazy, cheap owners serve up the same Sysco (or nowaways even cheaper US Foods) slop. Very few serve, fresh local produce/meats, or use any imagination in prep. Most are all about the bottom dollar first, food quality last. (and shooting themselves in the foot, because they'd actually make more money if they'd make good food and price it as they'd need to)

Grow up it is not a racist name. Get over this racist carp. So sick of hearing it.

Cracker Barrel has a new idea that might work locally. It's a fast food approach instead of what we're used to.I'm not sure exactly what they'll call it,but "Cracker Barrel Express" has been considered. It will have a drive in window and a counter just like other fast food restaurants.Eat in or carry out.

The chain of local owned business's are why over priced.

Can you tell us what the latest is on Bojangles?

I say F*** Cracker Barrel. They were one of the first Southern chain stores to quit selling anything Confederate. So just because of that I refuse to patronize that store with nasty food and I hope they don't come to this area.

JT you are big on the plaques/Monuments you should make a move to boycott this store as well. This store was known for selling all kinds of Confederate items including flags, soldiers, hats, t-shirts, toys, etc. Just about everything they sold was related to the Confederacy.
