National Folk Festival A Big Deal For Salisbury

Salisbury Maryland is going on a National stage starting next year with the huge news of us being chosen for the spot of the National Folk Festival for the next three years. I cannot begin to emphasize what a bug deal this is since this event is chosen like an Olympics with multiple cities in the running to host. This will bring great financial benefit to the area and provide us am opportunity to show the World what we can do.

The Olympics end up costing cities money. Where will all 150,000 people stay for the festival. The Lord Salisbury Inn was knocked down. How many rooms are in Wicomico County?

I would really like to see the logistics for this. 150,000 people downtown?? Won't work. Up to 6 stages? Where?? My take the only way it works if some stages downtown, some at Winterplace, maybe Shorebirds stadium? No way that many will fit downtown, assuming that that many would even come.

So, I live here. I've been going to the festival for about 12 years with my family (not all of whom live here) and I've always had a good time. No matter where it goes, it's always this size and the logistics are always figured out. There's never any major issues. Sad that people don't realize how shockingly good this is for the whole Delmarva peninsula.

The local hotels really need sprucing up! I assume a remote parking lots could be setup with shuttle buses to go between them, the venue and the local hotels
