I dont condone littering at all but the dump makes it hard with fees, hours and conditions. No wonder some people just throw their couches and shit all over the place.

12:16 I agree....these little dumping stations closed on different days makes no sense....WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO STEAL????? They are locked down like there is something valuable in there...they use roll off containers, leave the gate open so trash can be thrown in the dumpsters. Some engineer or high paid county executive says oh no cant throw trash away without someone present....REALLY?

What education level do you have? The editor's grammar is rudimentary at best.

Exactly! It makes no sense. I think littering is horrible but when a person works and cant get to the station they get tired of holding on to it. Theres been a few times we have been turned away at a transfer station because what we had was too much.

If you have a little piece of drywall they try and send you to the landfill to pay more ? I thought they were convenience stations...Friggin A-holes.

Who in God's name wrote that?

they close the gates and lock them because that way the people who do not have dump stickers can not dispose of their trash.

You as residents of these areas should not throw trash out where it does not belong. Do you know how nasty it makes our roads and neighborhoods look, to have old couches, washers tires and bagged trash everywhere....

I live on a main rd. People ride by and throw trash out everyday. I am the one who has to pick it up from my ditch and front yard. Show some respect, put trash where it belongs not on other peoples property

It's not just Byrd Rd,its all over the area.We have a new library and the drainage pond out front is choked with the trash of people walking by.Sometimes you even find used syringes in town, tossed on the ground. Then you have people leaving trash all over the towns carwash and large parking lots.People need to clean up after themselves and I think a 1k fine could motivate some of them to clean up their act.

In times past I have contacted the County when I found trash and went through it to find bills and personal info so I could report who did it. I was told each time that they couldn't do anything because 'THEY' didn't see it. In other words, just because you find my trash on the side of the road, perhaps someone else had taken it and thrown it there. So they can warn you with fines all they want but when it comes right down to it, the trash, as it has always been, will continue to be tossed.
