Annapolis Legislature Screwing Maryland With Sunshine Tax

I along with other Conservative Marylanders are shocked by the decisions made in Annapolis to override Governor Hogan on the "sunshine tax"

The legislation would raise the state’s mandate for electricity consumption coming from renewable sources from 20 percent by 2022 to 25 percent by 2020. Governor Hogan's office has estimated the cost to Marylanders to be between $50 million and $200 million by 2020.

The override passed in the House by three votes.

I was very disappointed to see our great representative Jim Mathias be one of those three votes that helped.

These Senators voted to raise your utility bill. Contact them now and let them know how you feel:

This guy has cost Maryland tax payers millions of dollars.

He is also the reason that the MSP Helicopters do not fly interfacility transports any longer. This was a major conflict of interest on his part and he should never have been involved in that bill. Why you might ask? Because he is/was a commercial helicopter pilot for a commercial helicopter service. Because of this his company is benefiting from this travesty.

All Marylanders we all pay for the tag fee which I believe is $20 per year per vehicle. This goes into the EMSOF fund which pays for the MSP helicopter service, but interesting enough is that our fees didn't go down while the Astle got richer off of the commercial transports.

I, as a trauma patient in the Salisbury area transported to PRMC by a local ambulance should be afforded the opportunity to use the helicopter just like a drunk at Seacrets in Ocean City that fell off the bar stool. Ocean City calls the MSP Helicopter for everything so they don't have to drive to Salisbury and because I, as a trauma patient was taken by ambulance to PRMC because we are to close, has to to use an expensive, overpriced commercial helicopter out of Delaware to be transported by air to Hopkins or Shock Trauma. Please tell me where this makes any sense? We pay for the MSP Helicopter for trauma patients so any trauma patient flying out of PRMC should get the Maryland State Police Helicopter that we paid for. My child broke his leg and had to be flown to Johns Hopkins because he was a pediatric patient and the transport cost us $50,000 and it wasn't covered under insurance.

Did you follow my point? Anyway my point is that Maryland politicians in Annapolis are corrupt.
