Just looking forward to Aldi's. I saved a ton every week shopping there.

Byler's! They are in Delaware and only have 2 stores-Dover and Harrington. I would prefer a 'mom and pop' instead of a chain because then all the money stays in the local economy.

There we go again with the grammar ..

Having lived in the south for 10+ years, coming to MD I definitely miss shopping at Publix. They always had a great selection, outstanding customer service and stores were exceptionally clean and tidy.

Beans is beans.Bad cooks can travel all over the country to buy groceries to no avail. If they're bad cooks, where they buy makes zero difference.A good cook can buy from any store & make something outstanding with what is available locally.

Shop Rite

Too many lower class people in this town. This grocery store is usually located in a higher income area.

OH MY F'ING GOD!!!!! REALLY FOLKS???? Every time something comes up about grocery stores in da 'bury, the same freaking thing happens. "We want Wegman's, We want Trader Joe's, We want Whole Foods". Take some of your eastern shore EBT money and buy a clue. The day Wegman's or Trader Joe's or Whole Check errr...I mean Foods comes to da 'bury, Hell will have frozen over (an I'm not talking about Hell Michigan either) and the liberal jackwagons will be loving President Trump (sorry liberal jackwagons, he IS my President!). There are too may EBT babies in da 'bury for any of those three stores to come there. The closest you will ever get to a Trader Joe's is the Aldi that is going in (TJ's is owned by Aldi). Be happy you have any other than Walmart (and no don't whine that you have drive to the other side of town to go to Acme, it takes like 10 minutes). Can we PLEASE put the whining for Wegman's and TJ's in da 'bury to rest?????

I want my Giant back!!!

Dont worry Trump is cutting the thug welfare ebt cards by 50%¬¬¬¬¬)

What's the obsession with Harris Teeter? I've been going to one in Northern VA for 20 yrs and now the one in Selbyville which is closest grocer to me. It is a nice store but the reality is it is no different then any other grocery store. I agree a Byler's would be nice. Their spice selection and bulk foods are second to none.

Anonymous said...

YES BYLERS! If you are into a great selection of healthy grains sold by the bulk and spices you can't find anywhere else then Byler's is for you. They are also a full service grocery who sells off brand mostly Made in the US canned goods and other foods. Their bakery is great. The only thing they don't sell are meats. You can not beat the prices.

A prepared food or ready to eat food grocery chain would be nice.

Me too!

A persons finances improve when they express thanks for what they have.I lived most of my life finiky and poor. Now I take what I can get and appreciate it.The whole world changes when one makes the best of what's available.

will there be a bike path to the new grocery store?

WE THE PEOPLE said...

Piggly Wiggly....Safeway....Giant.

I'm grammortified by these comments.

We are an oppressed area somewhat. The few who can afford upscale shopping are greatly outnumbered by those who cannot.Much study goes into placing a high end store in any given area. Most locals are in survival mode and the high end grocers know it.

Anonymous said...

Bylers is great! I like it too.

Anonymous said...

They will never come to salisbury. Not the correct type of neighborhood.

Anonymous said...

Redners is good.
