Salisbury named #9 on Burglary Hot Spot list for Maryland

Lower Eastern Shore News Team,

My name is Zane Schwarzlose and I'm the community liaison for a national home security company, Protect America. We have an annual program that recognizes the most burglarized cities in each state called the "Top 10 Burglary Hot Spots".

Salisbury has been named #9 on our Top 10 List for towns in Maryland. I think this would be an important story for your readers.

What does this mean?

Each year, the FBI releases a Uniform Crime Report detailing the number of crimes in each municipality in the US. This year’s UCR was released September 28th. At Protect America, we’ve digested this data and turned it into lists of burglary safe zones and hot spots for each state.

Here is the list for Maryland: http://www.protectamerica.com/home-security-blog/safe-and-sound/2016-maryland-burglary-stats-burglary-safe-zones-hot-spots_12009

Trappe, Md., was listed as No. 4. Trappe! These ridiculous numbers don't make any sense. There's no context. Does Salisbury end where the Wicomico County lines begin? Come on Johnaton -- aren't you smart enough to decipher this stuff?

Jake it's time to make a chiefs change. Come on and pull the trigger. If you want any chance for reelection, fix the problem.
