I wrote a letter to Governor Marvin Mandel when he was considering Danny for the bench. I begged him not to do it because Danny had so much potential. Danny was then a member of the House of Delegates and I told Mandel that Danny could be a congressman, a senator or even President and that appointing him as a mere judge would be a waste of Danny's talent.

Awesome man!! He will be missed. As far as the comment above I am guessing that he gave you a sentence that you did not like. Do the crime do the time!

Judge Danny Long, you've done the lower Eastern Shore a great service, I admire you as a judge, a genuine person, and roll model. A well deserved retirement, and to the disrespectful comment above, I guess the THUG served his time. Thank you for your service.

JT, I think the Gov'nor should put you on the bench. You have enough expierience from blogging to make good calls on people. You could wear them Grinch hands with the fingers and all. I bet you in action would look something like this:

JT we found another A$$BURROW baby....look at 1:11.....LOL they just can't stay away, they are your fans!!!

JT would totally kick ass as a judge. They could televize his court on WBOC or WMDT like judge Judy and Wapner and call it Street Justice. There would be a trapdoor under the accused so that when JT slammed the gravel guilty they would falls right into jail. But if he said they was free, then it would play hiphop party music and everybody dance.

I hope Kristy gets it but not sure she will take the pay cut.

I hear Danny has his eyes on Congress.

As far as any of the comments above so be it. Danny Long is a Democrat and he will never get my vote. Fk the Democrats!!

1:11, did you write this from your jail cell? You are just showing your ignorance. You were probably the drug dealer that got caught and Danny Long ruined your career, you idiot. Danny Long stood and still does for justice! Guess you do not know what that means? let me spell it for you as you seem to have a limited vocabulary....It is like this, you sell drugs you go to J-A-I-L. There ya go, another four letter word you can use! Bahahahha

I agree with 11:35, anybody that still belongs to the democratic party is anti American and should not be elected to anything. The party has been trashed and the people in it are trash. The former states attorney is trash as well and I don't know why you didn't post my other comment JT, it wasn't out of line and much cleaner than some you did post.

Kristy will do a fine job just as long she doesn't sentence based on votes.

That is exactly what she did as SA 8:47. She is a dem and will not even be considered by the governor. I would say Dan Powell has the job if he wants it, the only logical choice. Kristy couldn't even get a judgeship when dem O'Malley was Gov.

A good strong community leader with much integrity , honor and trust. He will be hard to replace. He exemplified fairness coupled with justice. A true role model in every sense of the word!
