Crime Continuing To Rise In Salisbury

Crime has continued it's climb in Salisbury, and the big issue is it's of the violent nature. Multiple Assaults on College students sending people to Hospital, Armed Robberies left and right (one of which today was in broad daylight), Prostitution busts etc etc. At this time that our crime rate is going up, we have veteran officers leaving in droves to get away from Barbara Duncan and the leadership at the Salisbury Police Department. The brave men and women on the streets and our incredible detectives can only do so much with the current morale issues within the department.

As stated during the SU beat downs, it is time for Jake Day to pick his own Police Chief and fix the issues within that Department. Those issues start and end with Barbara Duncan being given her walking papers so our officers can feel supported when they are out on the violent streets trying to protect us.

There are many problems in the Salisbury Fire Department and it's time for Jake Day to choose a new Fire Chief. Do it before the very last volunteer walks out that door.

I think JT should do a ride along with SPD. Maybe bring a camera and it could turn into the Salisbury version of COPS.

They need to start teaching kung foo class at SU so the students can defend themselfs. Once the thugs get that woo tang put on them they will stop.

Who chose both chief positions?

I think JT should interview Duncan and let her explain why her department is being ineffective toward the rise in crime.

If a couple get shot crime will go down so do society a favor and pop one or two.

Back in the 70's (before that they went for the education), and 80's (know for partying) if you went looking for trouble on campus, you would receive it. You people remember those days. We had not been coddled and given a safe place. Lol Don't know about it today.

Ireton the queen,

Jake day will not get rid of Duncan, he did the same thing ireton did, say he's gonna listen to officers and address morale, gets elected and turns his back on officers. He is lying to the citizens about crime stats just as much as Duncan is. A liberal is a liberal is a liberal. Ask them what the average tenure is of a road patrol officer...about 3 years. How many open positions do they have? A lot! The public needs to demand answers and an investigation into their reporting of crime stats to UCR.

I just spoke with 4 different renters in my apartment complex at Merrifield apartments that have all been affected by criminal activity. ..it's everywhere...and the police have been notified and show concern for a week

I think during their first week at school SU students should be issued a Smith & Wesson Model 60 3" a/k/a the Thug Stopper, 100 Rounds of Black Talon ammo, and a Concealed Carry Permit.

You can blame Jim Ireton and Jake Day on this one. They worked hard to pretend that crime was down in Salisbury.

Crime is not down, ask to interview the crime analyst in the department and watch the response. How many cops have left. Duncan is afraid of the street cops, she is waiting to get the job at the University for her kids
