I haven't been yet but wanted to hear from people who have how it was.

Went to ACME yesterday... looked the same as Giant only the prices were double!! Couldn't believe it! Giant was pricey, but worth it... but not at ACME prices! I was surprised how slow they were too... don't see them being around long if they offer the same groceries and much higher prices...

It is high, high, high. Nothing like the old Acme prices. Not even close.

I was very disappointed - poor quality produce - high prices

The two times I have been have been on Saturdays.. so it was busy. But both times I have been, the cashiers have left something to be desired. Not as friendly as the Giant cashiers, for sure.

High as hell

Prices way to high. If they don't lower prices they won't last to long

Anyone see RoadRunner there ?

My thoughts exactly. I want Giant back. Also no recognizable employees in the pharmacy either.

100% agree!!

I was happy with the continuation of the salad bar, deli, and olive bar. BUT, the prices are higher than Giant's and outrageously higher than other local stores. One good example I noticed: three 8-packs of 12 oz Cokes, in Food Lion - $11, in Acme - $13, and all on the same day, Friday 9/16. I know this is only one example, but I'll not be back any time soon. I wanna try Harris-Teeter in Selbyville or Easton.....just curious.

I stopped into food Lion today on nanticoke road around 445 pm. The place was overloaded with customers. Talking with people while waiting to check out acme came up. Several people said they had been there and won't go back.

Idiots giant also had giant prices half of u people are on Welfare so STFU.

I thought Acme was supposed to keep Giant employees? What's going on?

They have very few deli Acme meats; therefore, you have to buy the Boars Head brand which is twice as much. The Giant hard salami was $5.99 a lb. Acme does not have their own brand hard salami so I had to buy Boars Head at $l0.99 a lb........an example of being almost twice as much!!!

You have to shop the sales.

Coconuts at Giant were $1.50, they are $3 at ACME, WTF???? Guess Food Lion will benefit from ACME not knowing how to price their items. First impressions are everything, I won't soon be back.

They don't have the self scanners that you could carry around. that was the best part of going to giant.4

OK you guys,I'm going to ACME today and see for myself. My father in law retired from ACME & always said "A store cannot make it with cherry pick bargains only",referring to people who just come in for the deals and nothing else.I tend to agree with him. That's the only reason I went to Giant.

When entering the store there is a strange odor, doesnt seem like they did anything other than change the name and put up new signs. The prices were much higher than I recalled our former Acme at the Twilley Center. Realizing thats been nearly 20 years ago, I still gave it a honest try, but the prices dont compare with Food Lion. So, unfortnately I dont think it will survive.

Oooh Bill if you have a car, I go to work at NASA tomorrow morning at 8am driving a BMW Z4 Roadster white how about you and Thomas Tuckerman is my real name.

Well Tom Tucker that's great you are employed at NASA and drive a BMW! So how about we inform NASA of your discriminatory comments you make about others in the community. You model a great example for the company of NASA! Making fun of the less fortunate and not being humble is the quickest way to lose everything you have! You should think twice the next time you are judgemenal of others!!!

Acme normally does not carry Boars Head, it was requested they keep
Boars Head, it is a better product and yes you pay for it. Some prices went down while others have gone up. The one true difference is Giant's healthier options were cheaper then Acme's healthier options. Most of the employees are the same. I have been shopping Giant for over 20 years.... It the last few years a lot of people Retired from Giant. The Salad Bar is better, but I believe the price is $ 1.50 higher. Giant had no name brand of soda's in a 8oz size. Acme has no name brand soda but the smallest size is the 12oz 12pk. I liked the smaller size for portion control. Lunchable, though not healthy but the occasional treat for my child, is higher then giant. What i don't like is the buy 4 or more to get a lot of the deals. If i wanted to buy bulk I would shop Sams. As for my full opinion, the jury is still out. Oh, one more thing, their boneless, skinless thighs $4.59 # while Perdue, skin and bone was $ 2.59 #. Acme chicken is not labeled, no hormones no added additives etc. Giant Chicken was labeled as such and so is perdues.

And to the person who said the old acme was cheaper, that was over 10 years ago.

Some prices higher, some lower. Still much better than "no selection" Food Lion. And who would buy meat at Food Lion? They sold out of date meat on purpose.
I like Acme, and will continue to shop there.

I shopped Acme this week for the first and the last time. Prices are much higher. For example Tombstone pizzas are 3.99 at Food Lion and when on sale they are 3 for 10.00. At acme they were $5.49 each. Also didn't have several things I needed so had to go to Food Lion to get at least half of what I needed. Got a lot more at Food Lion and paid $60.00 less.
