    On 07/29/16 Worcester County Sheriff’s Office received a look out for a possible drunk driver. The suspect vehicle was located on Baltimore Ave in the area of 26th St Ocean City, Md. The Deputy observed the vehicle almost strike the median several times and stopped the vehicle. The driver was identified as Jacob Luke Fasig, 28, of Sinking Spring Pa. The Deputy detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage and observed two Miller Lite cans in the glovebox of the vehicle. Mr. Fasig failed to complete the Deputy’s field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. Mr. Fasig was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending trial.

 

On 07/30/2016 at approximately 9:24 pm a Worcester County Sheriff's Office Deputy, responded to Cypress Road, Pocomoke, Maryland in reference to a threat of arson.

 

     The Deputy arrived on scene and identified Kevron Randall Conquest 21, of Pocomoke, Maryland. Through investigation, it was determined that Mr. Conquest contacted the Somerset County Sheriff's Office 20 times on an emergency services line. Mr. Conquest allegedly threatened to burn down his ex-girlfriends residence in Somerset County. Mr. Conquest also advised that if the police did not arrive quickly to Cypress Road he would burn the house down or blow it up.  

     The Deputy asked Mr. Conquest about the phone calls he had made. Mr. Conquest advised the Deputy if he was not arrested, he would burn his ex-girlfriend’s house down. Mr. Conquest was extremely disorderly and irate. Mr. Conquest was placed under arrest. Mr. Conquest was transported to the Worcester County Sheriff's Office and charged with two counts of threat of arson and telephone misuse. Mr. Conquest was transported to the District Court Commissioner and subsequently held at the Worcester County Jail on a $10,000.00 bond. 

 

On 7/30/16 A Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputy received a call for a disabled vehicle on Sinepuxent Rd Berlin MD. Upon arrival the Deputy observed a blue in color Ford F-150 just off the roadway and stuck in the mud. A Deputy then made contact with the driver of the vehicle, identified as Garcia Lopez 43, of Berlin MD, to check his welfare. While the Deputy was speaking with Mr. Lopez, he detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. Mr. Lopez was also having difficulty keeping his balance and slurring his words.  The Deputy then requested Mr. Lopez to perform standard field sobriety tests. Mr. Lopez refused to perform all the tests. At that time Lopez was placed under arrest and charged with driving while intoxicated. He was released pending trial.  

 

 

On July 31, 2016 at approximately 4:49 PM a Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputy observed Elaine Kessler 57 years old of No Fixed Address walking on the property of the B & B Apartments located at Keyser Point Road West Ocean City, Maryland.  The Deputy was with Ms. Kessler a few minutes prior and informed Ms. Kessler not to return to the B & B Apartments. The Deputy placed Ms. Kessler under arrest for trespassing.  Ms. Kessler was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and held on $3,000 bond.  Ms. Kessler was transported to the Worcester County Jail pending trial.

 

On July 31, 2016 at 9:35 am the Worcester County 911 center received a call about a motor vehicle crash on Blueberry Road near Morris Road in Whaleyville, MD.  The caller reported a vehicle on its side in an irrigation ditch. Showell Fire & EMS along with Deputies from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office responded and located a 1995 Chevrolet Van with the operator trapped beneath the vehicle.  The operator was determined to be deceased and was later identified as Todd Russell Mariner, 49 years old from Salisbury Md. 

 

    The preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle left the roadway and stopped along the edge of an irrigation ditch.  As the operator attempted to exit the vehicle, the shift of weight caused the vehicle to roll on top of him.  Alcohol is believed to have played a factor in the crash.  If you have any information about the crash contact Cpl.
