Thank You Letter For All Who Helped Battle Chesapeake Boats Fire

As most citizens of our community are aware, on Monday June 27th, a local business was destroyed by fire. I would like to thank all of the community that came together during this major incident at Chesapeake Boat and Lumber Yard. 100 fire and ems personnel and 50 pieces of apparatus from 18 companies in Somerset, Worcester, Wicomico, and Accomack Counties were on the scene of this massive blaze. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to all of these personnel, along with the law enforcement agencies, State Highway Administration, The Red Cross, and all of those businesses and individuals in our community and communities as far out as Dorchester County for bringing & serving foods, drinks and ice. I wish that I could thank you by name, but there are too many to name and I would hate to leave anyone out, as we appreciate ALL of you! Your support was well needed, and it is groups of people like yourselves that make our jobs a little easier in wake of an emergency. On behalf of every fire and ems provider serving on this incident, we THANK YOU, and are always here to protect and serve our community. We do this with great pride!
