Rivers Edge Apartments Drug Dealing?

I was disturbed to read about the incident that occurred at the Rivers Edge Apartment Complex which involved a "drug deal" that turned into a gun being drawn and police surrounding the building. Click here to read the story . This complex is supposed to be an artist community, and I don't think his fake cocaine is considered an art form. The Management at Rivers Edge needs to keep this community as it was intended because incidents like this make everyone believe all the negative views people had about the complex before it started.

Rivers Edge actually has some apartments in it that are available to people with section 8 "vouchers"

Like anyone with a brain didn't know this wasn't coming. I'm telling you all you people of Sby ever do is elect the most incompetent people to office ever. You actually get someone intelligent and you demonize them.

This complex REQUIRES remarkably low income levels to even be considered, and accepts welfare vouchers. They like to say they are "artist's residences," but that is not required at all (See application), and in reality, most working artists either make more than the required amount or have a day job that pays more (the artists teaching at SU start around $24,000/year+). A family of four has to have an income under $25,000/year. That's basically two adults working minimum wage. I know several families who looked at it because they were struggling as one-income families, and they still made too much. What's more - the rent is high for the minimum (one example - $24,960 for an apartment that costs $832/mo, so $312 per week for a family to pay all other utilities, groceries, etc.) incomes required, so illegal income is inevitable. Don't fool yourselves. This is well-marketed welfare housing.

Can't imagine how this could happen with that location. Next thing that you will post is that someone was doing drugs in the brew river bathroom.

Everyone I know wasn't fooled. It seemed as only Salisbury's dopey mayor and the rest of the low information on the council were the only ones all jazzed up over this and a few others. And JT you too got yourself all giddy over this "progress" and those were were telling you how it was going to be were called "negative." For JT and the rest of the naive "TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!"

LOL....yeah no surprise here!!!! There are more than "a few" apartments that are for rent with section 8 assistance....its the whole place! Its the same ole, same ole....mother with kids move in then, two or three guys come and see her.....drug deals everywhere! Be real folks....management attitude....I didn't see anything.....it will be just like old Lake Street apartments in short order.

Anonymous said...

8:13 I meant old Booth Street Apartments......

DUH!!! That's WTF happens when you turn any housing into Section 8 or housing that allows "rental housing vouchers."

Funny how you were a big supporter of low income housing for this project. Did you expect no different. You know damn well that the housing vouchers are not going to you or I.

I pray to God that our next government will bring back the PROJECTS and put them thugs back in them.

BINGO!! This is why we don't want anymore rental properties. There are more than enough and the Drug Dealing Crackheads are moving in right next door. I am against voting for the Democrats just like we have in Salisbury.

Just look at Detroit and Chicago. WTH do you think the problem is there. DUH!! Sixty years of Democrat Rule and what have you elected in Salisbury? And what has Democrat Rule got you in Salisbury?? Need I remind you!! Slum Lords, Slums and Drug Dealing.

You are exactly correct and these thugs are living high on the hog in high end housing with high end appliances on guess what? Our tax dollars. We are paying for these thugs to living high on the hog and it has to stop.

It's time for our elected leaders to bring this back up for discussion even if it means taking this out of the Arts and Entertainment Enterprise Zone or what ever it is so they can get lower taxes.

Courtney Deason is management at RunAwayBay apartments and she was behind this. She and the owners of Foxfield Apartments, Runaway Bay, Ocean Aisle Apartments, Island Club Apartments(used to have a different name but the scammers wanted it to sound more Ocean City like), and Mitchell Landing Apartments. These are the people that conned the elected officials like Jim Ireton, Laura Mitchel, Debbie Campbell, Terri Cohen, Tim Spies and Shanie Shields thought this was the best thing since sliced bread and added to it's funding by giving them tax free rights to that property. They caved in and let this valuable water front property turn into slums. Blame them. Thank you Courtney Deason and that dirty company you work for.

What do Runaway Bay, Ocean Aisle Apartments and Island Club Apartments all have in common? They all have that beachy sound and that was done intentionally. These are the same owners that have that crime infested, low income property called Rivers Edge. They all sould like Ocean City and that was by design to scam tourist from other states surrounding Salisbury.

Courtney Deason and these owners are scam artists.

Just look at this little description on one of their dumps.

Ocean Aisle
130 Ocean Aisle Circle, Salisbury, MD 21804

"Our property is conveniently located near Old Ocean City Road,"

"BRAND NEW Luxury 2 & 3 Bedroom Community! Conveniently located, only minutes from the beach."

You mean a half an hour if the traffic is good and you can find parking. These are the scam artists that run Rivers Edge apartments and they scammed the elected people in this city and county. SLUM LORDS

Look!! Even the City of Salisbury is promoting welfare housing on their own web page and Rivers Edge is listed.

You can't give blacks anything. Come hell or high water they will shit it up. This is a proven fact. Then somehow they will twist this criminal's actions to being the fault of the white man. They are a dirty people void of any decency whatsoever and so lacking in any honesty they will not admit it.

Their point is they are trying to make themselves sound educated but it's backfired and they have only managed to prove what a failure the US "education" system is. The Act quoted has nothing to do with entitlements. Educate yourself and please please please refrain from opening that mouth in public and yapping such nonsense. This advice will save you from looking like a complete moron.

More example of how blacks squander opportunity. Try and give them a nice safe place to live and they will without fail crap it up.

Anonymous said...

Build it and they will come.

If you want to reduce the number of mosquitos remove their habitat, standing water.

If you want to get rid of vermin, remove their habitat. If SBY had no low rent housing those folks would go elsewhere. People truly in need could apply for vouchers-provided they sign contracts prohibiting certain activities, keeping their premises neat and clean, have no "overnight" guests, and NO DRUGS.

Anonymous said...

7:43 They do have to sign something like that. Look up on HUD a lease for subsidized housing. They are like 10 or more pages long. It's enforcement that's needed. The occupants can do what they want because they know there's no enforcement. The housing authority officials aren't going to toss baby momma with her 5 illegitimate kids out on the streets.

All of you are simply miserable, uneducated, eastern shore white trash. Not only do none of you make a valid argument. You have no idea what you are talking about. None of you know the facts surrounding affordable housing. There is no other word to describe any of you beside idiotic. At lease be smart enough to read the article instead of what this overweight loser of a blogger sits around and writes. This person doesn't even live there it says he ran to his brothers apt. Obviously many of you are jealous that you have been reduced to trailers to save face and reside in an affordable housing community. Further more what tax dollars are you referring to? I highly doubt that anyone in the comments let alone the actual blogger even pays any taxes. Newsflash receiving a tax refund doesn't make you a tax payer! Seriously get a life because you all are pathetic.

9:45 Shut your pie-hole.I have a real problem with people who do not work living in a luxury apartment while we pay our own rent with no help from anyone.
