"OPERATION MOP UP" MULTI AGENCY CRIMINAL ENFORCEMENT INITIATIVE

Type of Incident: “OPERATION MOP UP” MULTI AGENCY CRIMINAL ENFORCEMENT   INITIATIVE

Location: Wicomico County Maryland

 

Narrative:

On 5/12/2016 MSP Salisbury Troopers joined forces with Wicomico County Sheriff's Department and Salisbury Police Department’s “SST” (Safe Street Team) Team in conducting "Operation Mop Up."   The initiative was comprised of uniformed personnel conducting saturation patrols in both rural and urban identified "high crime/drug" areas of Wicomico County.  The purpose of this initiative was to identify and arrest drug users, drug dealers and the criminal element in an attempt to curb the growing drug and violent crime activity within Wicomico County. 

 

A total of 35 vehicles were stopped for various traffic violations:  

19 citations/ 32 warnings/4 SEROs issued. 

These efforts yielded the following results:

8 CDS arrests (CDS included heroin/prescription pills)

Two PWID (possession with intent to distribute) crack cocaine and $1k seized;

2 civil citations marijuana under 10 grams;

1 DUI;

5 warrants served;

1 adult on view arrest for obstructing/hindering and giving a false name;

1 juvenile arrest for fleeing and eluding. 

 

    This was a successful initiative due to the quality of personnel assigned from all agencies and teamwork between allied agencies within Wicomico County.

You need something to put a spin on all the bad stuff happening, you could do this everyday in Salisbury, waste of manpower, waste of prosecution effort, waste of taxpayer money. Start holding the heads of the agencies responsible, keep Lewis in town and question Duncan about hiding stats. I thought day was smarter, but looks like a flash in the pan.

Wow only 8 freaking arrrests and Beau Oblesby just did the sweep in Worcestor county and go 61 people off the streets.....I think Salisbury needs to step up better than this.....That did not even put a dent in the drugs or violence going on in this county....

Beau Oblesby is ONE of the MOST racist, small-minded, bigoted good ole boys Delmarva knows, and as long as he remains employed and resides in and around Delmarva, he will be a stain that perpetutates the ugly ugly stereotypes that scream the problems of corrupt, backalley, lower slower.
