6 people striking? Fire them, you could find a line of people form quickly to replace them... gross. Nobody is making you stay and work at Verizon, if you hate it, then leave.

It's 36,000 total. This is just a half dozen on a picket line in one location.

You might get a long line of people who wish they could have those jobs, but damn few with the ability, education, experience, work ethic and determination to work in the unique culture and environment of the telephone company...let alone pass the drug test.

We don't hate our jobs, if we did we'd leave. On the contrary, most of us like our jobs, despite the counter-productive tactics of upper management. This is why we are willing to take action to protect our jobs and everything we've worked for. Our jobs are worth fighting for. Can you say the same for your own job?

If your employer told you that they wanted to lay you off and ship your job to a foreign country just because they can pay even less, cut healthcare for retirees, and decrease your net pay, among other things...would you just quit? Or is your job valuable enough to you, to band together with your co-workers to fight for your job? If your job isn't valuable enough to you, to try to protect...why are you still there?

Obviously you don't know a thing about working at Verizon, so go pound sand straight up your fundament.
