Thank you to Petsmart - Millsboro, Petsmart - Salisbury, Big Lots, Concord Pet - Salisbury for all the the much needed donations.  Anyone else who wants to donate we need Fabuloso Cleaner, Puppy Pads, Bleach, & Towels especially due to the 300 plus dogs we have in our care!!!

JT,

I was wondering if you could inquire about these pups/dogs, and maybe do a posting in regards to if/when they will be available for adoption? A community push to help both those overwhelmed animals and the shelter? Maybe even some sort of organized event, that may be upcoming(I don't know, Pork in the Park?), where representatives for the shelter can have a booth to help get the word out, and have folks that are looking to adopt fill out adoption applications? Just spitballin' here.

I know my family has been looking to adopt another dog, and I'm sure there are many others that would love to open their hearts and homes for another pet!

Good Ideas 5:27. The organizers of Pork in the Park should reach out to the Humane Society and offer them a free spot to set up in.

We just put a check in the mail for them this morning! Anything anyone can give means a lot. I am so sad for the dogs. The picture showed one and he was a matted mess. that's just what we can see. I know just about every dog coming into shelters down south are heart worm positive so that too is a concern plus the various diseases they can get from ticks like ehrlichiosis and you know they all have worms. I'm not familiar w/MD law concerning commercial breeding operations and as in some states, there may not be any, but certainly animal cruelty and neglect charges can be brought against the people who did this to these dogs.

I just can't even believe the world we live in. Not just because of these poor animals but just everything that goes on. I can't believe the earth hasn't imploded because of the horribleness that goes on.

Humans are so terrible.

Seriously 12:04 I know what you mean. I get feeling the same way but then I see the good in people like right now with the dog situation and how many people are coming together to help and that warms my heart.
