How Was Pork In The Park This Year?

I wasn't able to make it this year but wanted to see how everyone enjoyed it

Better, but still pricey...food was good. Parking is really an issue at Winter Place especially when the County makes the decision to block off Beaver Run School?????? Trash was kept up with overall much improved over last year.

Very well organized & laid out. Only saw 1 actually smoking their ribs...the bouncy houses were neat. Sheriffs's department gave a great K9 presentation. There were tall tables spread out thru the comlex as well as covered places to eat. A good selection of vendors & different interests. Didn't see the balloons inflated Sunday but I enjoyed it. Wasn't too hot/cold. Everyone did a great job. The parking is what it is.

Everybody was from like New York or Frederick, MD. I barely saw anyone I knew. I miss Salisbury Fest!

I think I read balloon rides were $225. but you could still get in one and go up 60 feet still tethered. it was $10 for kids and $20 for adults... I did hear a comment about they raised you up about 30 seconds and then back down. I don't know if that was true or not. I didn't see them up Sunday either.

Question, how was attendance?

This event has run its toll and time for something different to come around.

Just like the shorebirds. That has run it toll too but county taxpayers still have to foot million dollar renovations to that white elephant.

Tripped over a bunch of exposed electrical wires and spilled my pork platter and my 4 dollar beer.
I only had about a dozen before i went so the wires must not have jumped out in front of me.

It's a nice little festival... but it really isn't Pork in the Park anymore.

sucked. I have said this each year. They need to have a sampling section and charge more to get in and let you sample everyone's stuff. I waited an hour for one piece of bbq. I will never be back.

5:01 I agree. If it's a competition, and the draw is the world class champion bbq, it should be made available after the judging, as reasonably priced samples.

I've been four times total, and never yet had good bbq. It's been a few years since I've been back. I'll pay a fair price for very good or excellent bbq, no problem. But I'm not paying admission just to pay $9 to $12 or more, for crap. I can get much better right here at home.
