Date and Time:  April 3, 2016 at approximately 1400hours

Incident:   Stabbing

Location:  100 Block of West Main Street

Suspect: Latrice J. Belote (25)

 Disposition:   Closed by Arrest

Synopsis: On April 3, 2016 at approximately 1400 hours, Fruitland Officers and EMS were dispatched to the 100 block of W. Main Street for a reported stabbing.  Upon arrival, officers began treating the victim until EMS arrived.  The investigation revealed that the victim and suspect (recently married) were involved in a domestic dispute, which resulted in the male victim being stabbed through the chest, one time, with a knife.  The victim sustained a life threatening injury but was treated at PRMC and is expected to survive, as his condition has improved.  The suspect was arrested and transported to WCDC to be seen by a District Court Commissioner. Fruitland Police were assisted by MSP Homicide detectives and MSP Crime Scene unit.
