Hagood, James
Incident: Assault
Date of Incident: 18 March 2016
Location: 8000 block of N. West Road, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: James Andre Hagood, 40, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 19 March 2016 at 2:00 AM a deputy arrested James Hagood following an assault complaint. In this incident it is alleged that he became upset with his 15 year old daughter at which point he physically disciplined her. According to the daughter, Hagood escalated the discipline when he began kicking her in the face while she was on the floor. It is also alleged that Hagood began dragging his daughter by the hair and then choked her. During the investigation, the deputy saw signs of injury to the daughter that corroborated her account.
Upon arrest the deputy transported Hagood to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Hagood in the Detention Center in lieu of $100,000.00 bond.
Charges: Assault 1st Degree, Child Abuse and Reckless Endangerment

Ferrell, Courtney and Davis, James
Incident: Robbery
Date of Incident: 17 March 2016
Location: Giles Lane at Catchpenny Road, Quantico, MD
Suspect: 1. Courtney Michelle Ferrell, 30, Quantico, MD
2. James William Davis III, 29, Princess Anne, MD
Narrative: On 17 March 2016 a deputy arrested both Courtney Ferrell and James Davis in connection with a robbery they reportedly perpetrated together. In this incident, the pair reportedly picked up a male victim and was driving towards the Quantico area when Ferrell pulled to the side of a dark country road while Davis grabbed the male subject around the neck from the rear seat. According to the victim, Ferrell began searching his pockets ultimately taking his wallet before pushing him out of the vehicle. The victim stated that he was left on the side of the road as Ferrell and Davis drove away.
During the investigation, the deputy was able to positively identify Courtney Ferrell and James Davis as the individuals responsible for this crime and obtained warrants for their arrest. Upon arrest, both were transported to the Central Booking Unit where they were processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following their initial appearances, they were both detained in the Detention Center in lieu of $150,000.00 bond each.
Charges: Robbery, Assault 2nd Degree and Theft under $1,000.00

Wolfe, Melvin
Incident: Fugitive from Illinois
Date of Incident: 17 March 2016
Location: Old Ocean City Road at Woodcrest Avenue, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Melvin Jovan Wolfe, 23, Calumet, IL
Narrative: On 17 March 2016 at 12:45 PM a deputy located a wanted fugitive from the state of Illinois on a traffic stop on Old Ocean City Road. The deputy located Melvin Wolfe, who was wanted by authorities in Illinois for a Parole Violation.
The deputy placed Wolfe under arrest and transported him to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, Wolfe was detained without bond pending extradition back to Illinois.

This is why your wicomico county sheriff salaries are pushing 8 million dollars a year.
The more trash you have here the more it costs to gather it up and put it away.
