What Grocery Store Would You Like To See Move To Giant Location?

Based on the local economy I would like to see an IGA like the one that is (or was)in the Rodney Village Shopping Center in Dover. They call them Super IGA's or something like that.High end grocery stores look great, but they struggle on the Eastern Shore.A division like there once was would also be nice, where more than half of the store was a grocery store and the remaining part was everything from clothes to general merchandise.

Aldi's or Trader Joe's. Ideally, both.

Byler's! Or an Amish Market like is in Easton, Annapolis and other places. Already too many traditional grocery stores in Salisbury.

Shopper's Warehouse or Wegman's!!

Publix....or Aldi's

Salisbury will never have a Trader Joe's. The median income for the area is too low.

I think Safeway would be good it is most like giant

Why don't you people get better paying jobs so a nice store WANTS to come here.

I'd love to see a Harris-Teeter. I spend a lot of time in NC where H-T is everywhere.....and they're GREAT. Giant is the only store, now, in Salisbury with a salad bar. H-T has a great salad bar. I don't think I'll see it, but that's my pick.

Not so much income level but population. Not enough density. Every one in a 30mi radius could be a millionaires and a TJ's still wouldn't work around here. TJ's profit margins aren't that high because they sell at low prices and pay employees above average for the type of work. Because of this TJ's sales per sq ft of floor space has to exceed $1700. What this means is multiple cash registers have to be ringing up customers from open until close.

Redner's an employee owned corporation has expressed an interest in the location if it comes up for sale.

Shoppers Food Warehouse. I visit the 1 in Glen Burnie/Pasadena when ever I am up at my son's house. Before moving down here 10 yrs ago that was the only place I did grocery shopping at. Their prices are very good, sale are great, very good bakery. They also sell items you can not get at Food Lion,Walmart or Giant.
So yes...SHOPPERS FOOD WAREHOUSE PLEASE

Eric White, spokesman for Redner’s Warehouse Markets based in Reading, Pa., said the grocery store chain has not been approached about the Giant store in Salisbury, but it is in a market it would consider entering. Redner’s operates five stores in Maryland.

Food lion bought Giant / merged ... there is a monopoly law, we have 4 food lions and one giant, something would have to go so the story is they rather sell giant and not the 4 food lions, We need something i shop at giant and find food lion and Walmart below quality.... Giant was not that expensive and they had a really nice store brand items. I hope something comparable goes there....

All of you are losers because you don't patronize decent stores when they do come here.Big corporations such as those some of you have mentioned in your comments do extensive research of an area before they invest.A quick review of buying tendencies automatically rule us out of the picture.Various large retailers for instance have avoided the plaza because of inadequate foot and automobile traffic in that area via laser count.Grocery chains feel the same way. They start their salaries at $15 an hour to provide a decent quality of life for their employees, but people MUST shop there for them to stay. Here all of the big talkers will still go to the cheapest store regardless.

LOL What a bunch of Happy Larry's y'all are. Harris Teeter, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's? Dumb asses. Those places are getting anywhere near your chicken shitted up area. That area is circling the drain and is dying and will be reduced to a toxic waste dump where you can buy a house for 20,000 because anyone with a brain won't like in the stench you foolish idiots call home.
