This photo must have been taken at high tide.

Looks like the Forest Gump house that Jenny grew up in.

Another of the many houses sitting around the county slowly rotting....tear them down so arsonists will not target them. It's too dangerous for our firemen to respond to fires at these old houses.Force owners to raze them.

We have a lot of empty houses in the counties on the Shore...what a shame many of these homes were and some may still be salvageable... but red tape and lost family ties make it an up hill battle to sell them off....sad!

In most cases like this it is the firemen who are the arsonist!

Selling them has nothing to do with red tape or lost family ties. There are tons of homes for sale around here. The supply outweighs the demand. Even if these house were put up for sale no one would buy them. I agree with you it is a shame and can be traced to poor planning and lack of forward thinking by officials for too many years. They basically allowed the area to become a waste land. They thought they were big shot know it all's and now the area is the most depressed in the state and one of the most depressed areas in the country. The "born here's" have nothing to be proud of in these parts.

Many of the "born here's" left due to the influx of the "come here's", who ruin the area.
