Spring fever.

The weather outside might still be cold, but one thing is for sure, spring is around the corner. Pitchers and catchers for the Baltimore Orioles are reporting to Sarasota, FL and taking their yearly physicals today. Tomorrow, they'll don the uniform and cap of the Orioles and toe the rubber at Ed Smith stadium. I for one am extremely excited and impatient to get this year going.

Who could have predicted the success of the Orioles last year? No one even expected them to break 500 last year, but they wound up almost breaking in to the World Series. They took the Yankees to game 5 of the ALDS and were narrowly beaten. After 14 years of losing, it was over. OVER!

The team fought and showed guts. They were managed beautifully. Whether it was luck or not, it happened. I can't wait to hear a drunk Gary Thorne call a fastball a change up and I can't wait to hear Jim Palmer talk about a pitch sequence he threw, and at which speed he threw each pitch in 1974.

How bout dem O's?

With the new clothing styles displayed in hollywood this winter and with the side boob exposure tops, should make for an interesting summer.

Ronnie, I know you like your Metallica, but what about King Diamond? He's my favorite.
