Great Letter To The Editor On Jake Day
I am writing to speak for Jake Day, a candidate running for the open District 2 seat on the Salisbury City Council.
I have known Day since he was 6 years old, and I couldn’t be happier that he’s running for a seat on the Salisbury City Council.
Jake is a confident and independent-minded young man who is well-educated for the job and trained for leadership, along with practical town planning experience. I believe he will work collaboratively but with a dogged determination and independent mindedness to make things better.
He will resist getting caught up in the usual politics and personality conflicts, undaunted in his efforts to do the right thing for the higher purposes of our community.
Importantly, he will do so no matter who is serving as mayor or on the council.
Often I feel frustrated and powerless against what seems like constant petty bickering and posturing by the members of our city government. They seem unable to gain a consensus on getting good things done for the future of our community.
Surely we can do better.
In my view, Day has a clear vision about the important priorities which could move our city forward. He is just the kind of young man who will work diligently to achieve that goal.
That’s the Jake Day I will be voting for in the election for the District 2 seat on the Salisbury City Council.
