Nothing New In Nicole Bennett Case

Nothing new to report in the Nicole Bennett case as Worcester County is awaiting Matthew Burton's extradition hearing which is scheduled for Aug 6th . It is important that the community keep thinking of her family and what they are going through, especially her husband Kevin and her three beautiful little girls. Please visit the Nicole Bennett memorial page to learn how you can help.

Great First Step For Salisbury Lowered Water Capacity Fee

Jim Ireton has put together a great idea in lowering the water capacity fee which has been a big reason I have heard many don't develop in Salisbury and go to friendlier confines. The 65% reduction he is proposing pending City Council approval I am telling you will jump start some development in all areas not just in Downtown. I would like to think this will be a no-brainer for the Council Majority but they already are brainless so I guess we will wait and see, I mean after all it's Jim idea and knowing the way they work they will be against it but then come back next week and say they have come up with a plan for a 63% reduction (stealing Jim's Ideas of course and try to take all the credit for the idea)

100 Grand From Contingency Fund To Help Fund Movie?

Yes you read the headline correctly, the Worcester County Commissioners want to take 100 grand out of the contingency fund to give toward making the ping pong summer movie, if the Ocean City council agree to do the same. I have six words for the idea HAVE YOU LOST YOUR DAMN MINDS? In this economy the way it is taking 100 grand out of that fund to help fund ping pong summer is about the dumbest idea I have ever heard.

I mean honestly I appreciate the movies as much as the next person but not when it is going to cost the County money to help fund it. If they were filming Iron Man 3 in Ocean City I could see the spending because of the big budget and the money that filming would bring into the economy, but it's an indie film that will be going straight to dvd and it's not like they have lots of money to spend locally since they are asking for help to film in the first place.

Comment Regarding SPD Morale

"JT I know you like The Chief but I hope you will publish this for people to know what is going on inside the station. The rank and file are miserable with the way the new Chief is running things and Officers are leaving as quickly as they can. It seems the Chief has decided to start over with the promotions lists to give the Officers closer to her a better shot at those spots. There are people that have stayed at SPD and held out for the promotions and now have seen those being taken away as well. The Morale is at it's lowest point and the public needs to be aware of what is happening around them"

Would You Support OCPD Motorcycle Patrol?

Would you be supportive of the Ocean City Police Department starting a Motorcycle Patrol? According to Brent Ashley it's a good idea because it allows Police to hide better and weave in and out of traffic better and wants Chief Dipino to get the numbers to David Recor on the price. What are your thoughts is it something you would support?
