Disclaimer: I want to do fair restaurant reviews as part of my site and
while they may be harsh at times , no special favors or attempts at free food or
discounts were made on my part as I will be courteous and make my review upon
return home.
My first review is of what is now called Hometown Pizza which was formerly
Maho's in Crisfield on 7th and Broadway.
I have to say first off as I am aware of Crisfield the location wasn't very encouraging. The next part that also bothered
me was the handicapped ramp access shown below Which was simply unsafe for anyone handicapped. The
dining area while very small was decent in appearance as shown by 2nd picture
from top.
We ordered crab dip for an appetizer and I have to be honest it was gross
and greasy as pictured and between three people only 1/2 was eaten.
The wait time was another unpleasant experience as it took 48 minutes total
time for everyone in our group to be served their food.
I ordered the cordon bleau which was on 2 large sesame seed buns which
while cooked correctly it just had no taste at all and was very bland as my
fries were cold and I didn't eat them for that reason.
The staff were very friendly and knew everyone coming and going and it was
like old home week so I will give them credit for that as the waiting staff are
not at fault for experience .
I cannot recommend people eat here until some of these issues are resolved.
It may be because they are in between owners giving them the benefit of the
doubt, but if they don't improve the quality of food and speed of service I
don't see them lasting very long
