Daily Times Loses One Of Their Best Reporters
The Daily Times lost in my opinion the best reporter on staff in their crime and courts reporter Sharahn Boykin who is moving on to bigger and better things in Dayton Ohio. It's of no fault to the Times but like the tv news people that have opportunities to further their careers and this is exactly what Sharahn is doing. Dayton our loss is your gain, Sharahn will do fantastic for you and get you the best stories and coverage you could ever ask for. Good luck Sharahn you will be missed.
UMES Scores Big
Patricia Florestano has been hired as the new UMES President and according to reports we are lucky to have this lady take over an education center in our area. Patricia is a well respected Biochemist and I beleive will do a great job at UMES
Board Of Ed Fee Discussion
The Board of Education is looking to recoup some funding by increasing funding in two specific areas,a 10 increase in any after school programs fees and a $2,000 fee per child for pre-k. What are your thoughts on these fees?
One Guy To Rob Them All
Jason Hall of Hurlock is the name of the guy who was recently arrested for the community pharmacy robbery, and come to find out he is also suspected in the robbery of the Bi-State Pharmacy in Delmar and to a robbery at Peninsula Pharmacy to the tune of 60,000 in pills total. The Rx task force did the community a great service by putting together this group to get people like him off the streets as a drug addiction and a gun and a willingness to rob pharmacies in broad daylight would only have led to someone getting hurt in my opinion so again great job Law Enforcement.
