Obama says adding $4 Trillion in debt is unpatriotic
Guess what buddy? You've already added $5 trillion.
Rhetoric over Reason
I was having a conversation last week with a local business owner who asked me what we had to do to get Salisbury back toward a goal of some kind. Local politics have ceased to be about policy and become all about personalities, which has caused our Government to basically become a laughing stock. We need people to want to run for office for the right reasons and not because of the good health insurance or to get personal payback to a former City official. We need a group of people who don't just have their own best interest in mind like the current majority, but what will make Salisbury a better place to live.
We need people who can work together to solve the City problems. The City and people in general don;t understand this stuff is important and that they need to get involved and vote. The best thing that can happen is the redistricting plan which would allow more representation for all residents and get us out of the Camden stranglehold. The founders of this great City would have never done the districts like they are now if they could see the mess that Debbie, Terry and Tim have done by running a City from one neighborhood.
The word that has been lost is compromise, nobody is willing to work together hence we all stay still. I want a revived downtown, more businesses in Salisbury but these things will never happen as long as we allow personality to win over the people that live here.
