Preparations Under Way For President Obama At Salisbury Airport

There has been a flurry of activity at the airport this evening, in preparation of President Obama possibly needing to use our airport for his trip to Cambridge tomorrow.

OCPD Looking For Public's Help

OCPD officers met with a female victim who told police that an unknown male attacked her at her residence. During the attack, the victim’s boyfriend returned home and confronted the suspect. After a brief altercation with the boyfriend, the suspect fled from the residence.

 Surveillance footage captured the suspect, who is believed to be a Hispanic male, pacing back and forth near the victim’s residence before approaching the door to the residence. Ocean City Police are asking anyone with information about this incident, or the suspect involved, to please contact the Ocean City Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division at 410-723-6604. Those providing information may remain anonymous.

Rt.13 and Zion Rd Accident

Salisbury Fire Department attend to the driver of this van after it collided with a Bailys Taxi this morning at the intersection of Rt.13 and Zion Rd. The driver of the van was transported to PRMC for injuries sustained in the accident. Maryland State Police is investigating the cause of the accident. Wayne Barrall photo.

McCready Hospital Complaints

I have heard that people are having problems getting appointments with Dr Atkins. People call and leave their names with the receptionist and never get a return call to set up an appointment. It has also been reported that loved ones are not being allowed back to be with the people they have come with when taken to the hospital itself.

Co-hen strikes again

O how I love the way the City Council decides when rules should be followed and when they just don't care. Terry Co-hen, Tim Spies and Debbie Scambell feel we must do another nationwide search for the fire chief even though Jim Ireton wants Rick Hoppes because they simply are not happy with the search from 2010 and feel it's only right to search again. This coming from the crowd that refused to go to another work session to discuss putting the City Solicitor job up for a search because they were ok with the 2010 names on that one.

 How ridiculous can three people be when they turn their noses up at the very people they are supposed to represent by getting their bff Mark Tilghman a quarter of a million dollar job at a higher bid than Hall and Long made and decide it's ok for that they like him. Then that idiot Tim Spies makes a statement we need to find someone who came up though the ranks??? what a freaking idiot. Rick Hoppes has done that very thing!
