It seems like this is a daily occurrence anymore. Steven if you don't already have an attorney I would highly recommend John Phoebus who has already defended a teacher who sent photos to high school students, so he will fight for your freedom

"Spies and Delmar Donkey are cut from the same despicable cloth.

According today's, Daily Times, the Ethics Commission has unanimously recommended Spies recuse himself from discussions of, or voting on any housing code legislation, until his infraction is resolved with the city.

The arrogant Mr Spies says "the opinion is only a recommendation based upon what has been perceived as a conflict of interest. A perception is not necessarily based on truth."

The council member, who has taken more than 2 years, received 10 extensions, and now is awaiting Court trial, on his infraction, says it - depends on the situation as to whether he will follow the Ethics Committee's advice.

I see the Spews has yet to breath a word about Spies infraction, probably because Snak Cakes, and her Co-hen need their pet puppet so Council will have a majority vote, and have dared "no ba**s" Joey to open his mouth. Spies and Aspbero only do as the Camden ladies tell them, you know. "

Another Week Another Municipal Fine For Tim Spies

Well I see Tim got a 100 fine for this fence of his, that like his house has looked like this for quite awhile. Have some damn pride Tim you are an embarrassment to your neighbors.And he thinks renters are second class citizens, I would rather rent every day then own a hell hole that looks like this.

Somerset School Merger Discussion

Wow this topic has taken off since the letter from Dr Miles Superintendent of Somerset County Public Schools to the Public School Construction Program director went public to both the Somerset Commissioners and was posted here on my site. Crisfield High has failed to make the AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) four years in a row now, and Miles thinks that combining the 2 High Schools Crisfield and Washington into one would be the best option to change this.The NAACP has now spoken up on this and agree with Dr Miles that this is what should happen.

As much as I admire what Dr Miles is trying to do to help improve the AYP issue, my opinion is that this is not the way to do it. The three options that are on the table as mandated by the no child left behind law also include replacing the staff or hiring a private management group to run it. I would go for the staff replacement option over the combining the Schools. Think of the staff as chess pieces, nobody would have to lose their job just switch them out to another School for a fresh group to come in. The teachers traded for would already have their salary included in the budget so no adjustments would need to be made. Somerset County cannot afford to be in the School building business when many other options to improve the AYP problems are out there.
