Mambo Italiano Is Closed

There is a sign on the door thanking everyone but because of economic times they were forced to close

Great Comment Sent In

"I agree with DLP, that much of the blame lies with the voters for allowing these morons to get elected. However, I don't think it should be forgotten either, that we are not dealing with a normal group of politicians- we are dealing with truly evil ones. A few weeks ago almost all of the active voters in Salisbury signed a petition expressing their disapproval of Council's actions and what happened? Terry Cohen with the help of Debbie Campbell and Tim Spies ignored and demeaned our active voters. Over twenty five hundred civic voices telling Council "no, we do not want you to commence with this amendment" (in my opinion a huge feat in and of itself) was written off as no more than an attempt by "special interests" to get in Council's way.

How many honorable, respected citizens got up to speak at that meeting and were told by Terry to "mind the 2 minute mark" and "leave out personal sentiments" while Kay Gibson was given free reign to go on a tirade (just feet away from the flag) cussing out the citizens of Salisbury? This council (and by that I am explicitly talking about Tim, Terry, and Debbie) is a disgrace not just to the voters and taxpayers of Salisbury but to the concept of City Council itself. They are a slap in the face to every political science teacher and student. They are an embarrassment to the City of Salisbury, the State of Maryland, the United States of America, and every other representative body of government the world over.

I hate them. Hows that for personal sentiment? They have deluded themselves into thinking that the best use of our hard-earned, recession-plagued tax dollars is the immediate execution of their personal, lifelong vendettas. And that my friends, is evil. In my opinion Tim, Terry, and Debbie should be overthrown, chucked out, impeached, recalled, whatever has to be done to get them out of power. We are well within our rights to remove them as they are in no way representing our interests. If anybody objects we shall simply present them with the PAC14 footage of the meeting in which Terry spat in the face of every Salisbury voter by dismissing our petition without even looking at it. Tim Spies Says He Owns His Own Home The Rules Don't Apply To Him

It only takes the right statement of words to confirm everything I have been telling you for years about this clown. In the Daily Times Today after learning that an ethics complaint had been filed against him for having any vote in anything regarding NSCC rental inspections or vote on oversight of the city attorney are conflicts of interest.

Tim says he has no conflict in voting on NSCC rental inspections because he owns his own home and the rules won't apply to him. How does that make the renters in the City or citizens of the City feel? Tim Spies was originally given his citation in November 2009! Over 2 years and Tim cannot find the time or energy to fix his damn eyesore!, and yet he wants landlords that do far less than that to be fined and checked on more frequently because they contain lowly renters. A crappy hell hole is ok if it's not a rental.

Then let us not forget because this idiot is so lazy he can't be bothered for 2 years, we are now having to pay an outside attorney to prosecute the case at the rate of 200 dollars an hour! Unbelievable

Higher Sales Tax Or Gas Tax?

Governor Martin O'Malley said he would like to either raise the sales or put a tax on fuel. While not a favor of either if I had to choose I would go with the fuel.

My Opinion School Uniforms Are Needed

If you remember my post from November here regarding the School uniform situation the majority of comments were in favor of the idea, and as the discussion has moved forward a major name has come out in support of the idea in the person of Sheriff Mike Lewis. I agree with Mike 100% on this and feel it is something that should have been done a long time ago. It is hard enough these days for kids to get an education without feeling inferior because they cannot afford the brand name clothes their friends may be wearing.

Will it stop bullying totally? no sadly that will never go away but at least we can take the clothing out of the equation.
