Not if you have irrigation.

I'm betting Summer has something to do with it.

There will be corn shortages. Drought has nothing to due with the prices.
Before corn was being turned into a fuel additive, corn was plentiful, couldn't give it away.
So its a man made shortage to get higher prices.

No one will take this whole thing seriously until that fateful day when they walk in the grocery store and get sticker shock. In addition, think about all of the restaurants that will be affected.Of course they will get a better deal on food products than we will, but theirs too will go up in price which will in turn be passed to the customers. This coming winter will usher in a combination of rising food and fuel prices. The silver lining in all of this is that we've been forewarned.

The wheels of "greed" are already in motion. There is no way of stopping it but the end of civilization. Just hang on and try to injoy the ride.
