As the summer has kicked into high gear and we hear reports of crime being down across the City, how do you feel about it? Do you feel safer coming into the City after dark?

LOL! Come to town after dark? Don't pay no mind to that man behind the mask. Here drink your kool-aid.
Well as a city resident I can tell you that yes, by every possible metric crime is down. Think back to three years ago and the CONSTANT news about violent crimes vs. now. It's as plain as day.

To: July 10, 2012 3:14 PM Nice comment, Who wrote it Chief police SPD? In your dreams. More articles were written a while back for the perpose of removing the then Chief of Police. As long as this sitting Chief plays ball she will be made to look good.
The arrests are down because they have less officers, I read some where somebody was bragging the city was down 8 police officers. Of course arest totals are down. If the sheriff dept keeps taking up the slack the numbers will go lower. I hope you don't beleave the offers that are there is working harder taking up the slack. It's all about working the numbers and padding the books to prove your point.
Oh, so it's a great conspiracy to cook the numbers and just make it LOOK like crime is down?
How many bank robberies have there been recently? Store robberies? ATM robberies? Home invasions? Murders?
See, I ask because these are the types of crimes which couldn't be "cooked" off the books. They're the types of things that end up in the news. They get reported. People know when this type of stuff happens. So take off your tin foil hat.
