It is obvious that everyone from Marjorie Miles all the way down need to be removed from office. All the Board of Ed board members are an embarrassment to education with their handling of this Woodson incident. Since when do Administrators and staff victimize the children who are the victims of a bullying incident.
Honestly for the staff to act like teenagers and roll their eyes and whisper about the victimized child and parent like they are troublemakers. Why I ask?? Marjorie Miles has enough issues with her lame attempt to consolidate the Schools for her to handle this incident so crappy. They have taken an incident that should have been handled promptly and then it would have never made the my blog or WBOC. Now it's scramble because a spotlight is put on all the issues that have been hidden from the public.

Unfortunately, the victims are often dealt with in this manner. At the school where I teach, the victims are considered troublemakers when they turn in kids who are causing problems. The school's attitude is that if they ignore the bad things, they will go away.
Yet they claim to be enforcing a NO Bullying policy. . . Talking about it and implementing it are two different things completely!
ever since she came in she has totally ruined SCPS. first she changed the grading system, then she tries to consolidate the schools, then she removes JROTC from BOTH schools an replaces them with AFROTC (Air Force) instead of Army - CHS ; Navy - WHS, now we have uniforms. all i hear in my school now is im getting homeschooled, i would like to thank Dr. Miles for ruining us. Somerset County Public Schools is soon coming to an end.
When the teachers in a school system do not send their OWN kids to county schools,you know you have a broken system.
3.25 Couldnt have said it better. Somerset County Public Schools the last 2 years has been the best advertisement for Holly Grove. They are just a few miles away and no where near the problems of public schools.
You also have to take in account individual schools. I love the elementary school where my children go. The staff and administration really go above and beyond for my kids. They can only do so much when the Board of Ed doesn't support them.
As I have nothing positive to say about miles and her board of dread. This isn't the first time scps has not handled bullying and blame and treat the family unjustly. I will say miles maybe could have handled this situation better and redeemed herself a bit but it didn't happen. I think we have permitted our children to be short changed by not demanding more of this administration
I can see a pickit on the way at the BOE in the future! People are fed up! There needs to be some sort of State inspection!
The way Somerset County is going at least we can say ECI will never have to worry about shutting it doors.
