Do You Think Salisbury Should Follow Laurel

Would you like to see Salisbury put a curfew in place like Laurel has done in areas that get high calls for service?

NO, becuase curfews are illegal, and Laurel knows this as well and since they have not arrested or charged anyone with it, there will be no challenge in the court systems. It's a scare tactic, and since most drug dealers are dumb as a stump they go elsewhere. Don'tbe fooled they have just moved to another section of Laurel. What they could do, since all of the "in question" properties are federal subsidized and government owned, the property owners could post the property for tresspassing, and only allow residents to live there and be on the property. Anyone else gets arrested, no visitors, no one. It would make it easy for police, if the address is not on your license then your going to jail. Of course the residents would scream discrimination, but if you want to live for less then $100.00 a month on govt owned property then you give up rights, Sound familiar, exactly what the rules are for soldiers living on bases..

Yes we need a curfew in salisbury. It could be used like the fire ban. When conditions call for it. Some places are way to violent for some of our young officers. Of course they will improve with time. If we make the streets safer maybe they will stay longer and the sheriff dept can get back to doing county work.

Yeah, we might need it but a curfew is blatantly illegal and unenforceable.
