What Really Happened At Hebrons Savings Bank?

Last week something big went down at Hebrons Savings Bank with the reports being that former Somerset County Detention Center James Henderson's wife was allegedly involved in the matter.

UPDATE: This has been one of the top stories discussed on my site this year. Multiple posts with over 100 comments each. The story finally died out because as the months went on nothing more came out regarding what happened and here 8 months later still nothing new. It must have been something minor because I can't see it being a big deal with no charges being brought up yet after all this time. 

Crisfield High School Gets Hosed

The students at Crisfield High School were rallying behind the School getting a football program back, but the big old mean BOE shot it down because of financial concerns. Look I'm not trying to be mean here but there are many wealthy families in Crisfield who could privately finance bringing this back for the School without any public money being needed.

I don't know why we always think if the Government can't fund us we can't succeed. I think this would be great for the kids to have a football program back.

UPDATE: I Still would love to see a football program for Crisfield High School and hope one of the many who have made big money in that area could step up and help make it a reality.

Maho's Pizzeria Ribbon Cutting

I was on hand this morning for the ribbon cutting ceremony for Maho's Pizzeria located at 720 College Avenue. It is very important that we support this Pizzeria and help it thrive in our City. They have great food and I encourage you to go try them out and show them support so they can stay around.

Super Fresh Across From College At Risk For Closing?

Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. Inc. filed a motion to seek court approval of bidding procedures to market and sell 25 Superfresh stores, including 22 in Maryland. In total, the Montvale, N.J., chain operates 24 stores in Maryland.

From that press release things do not sound good for our local Superfresh, just what we need another huge empty store in Salisbury

Congratulations To Laura Mitchell

I want to congratulate Laura Mitchell on her victory and believe she should be our next City Council President.

UPDATE: Laura has turned out to be a fantastic Council Woman who has fought for the Citizens against the cruel and uncaring Camden Majority

Thanking Gary Comegys and Louise Smith For Their Service

Monday Night is the final Council meeting for Gary Comegys and Louise Smith and I want to take the time to thank them for their service. Regardless of liking them or not they put themselves out to serve their community and try to make it a better place for all of us to live. They have had to deal with alot of criticism from the crazies in our community but managed to still keep doing their job. I want to personally thank them and wish them both well in their future endeavors.

What Happened Downtown

Was there a robbery or not? Now we are getting info that the "victim" is being uncooperative and that he waited almost 45 minutes before he called police about it. It will be interesting to see what comes of this situation but regardless the door needs to be fixed so it closes securely even if the people "don't close it correctly" as Doug Church stated in the paper.

Of Course one of the top stories World Wide was the Royal Wedding which yes I watched.

Unbearable Sadness From April

 

It took me a bit to think about what I could possibly say after hearing the news of Whitney being found. I think it was even harder on me because we had spent time with the family Friday evening and shared hugs and conversations about Whitney with her family.

 It is very sad to think about this loss of life and her three beautiful children that will grow up without their mom.  The world is a very cruel place at times, but thankfully the family can have some peace knowing she has been found.
