New Somerset County Warden Doing Great Work

The New warden Louis Hickman is cracking the whip at the jail. He comes in early and has brought the morale up to the highest of standards. The Assistant Warden who who had put in her resignation under Purnell has now withdrawn it. Former Warden Purnell has also been let go by the Sheriff's department.

Be Careful At Car Wash In Pocomoke

I received some information that on 2 separate occasions people have been approached  by men at the car wash and that it made them feel extremely uncomfortable.

Problems Downtown Continue

The attempted robbery that occurred yesterday Downtown was in the City Center Lofts owned by Doug Church which is beside my advertiser Deli 111 and since there may be legal issues involved with this matter I have not said much regarding it. However today Jim Ireton went to the building and was able to let himself in showing that even after the complaints yesterday about the robbery suspect just walking in no effort seems to have been made to fix the situation. The problem is that open door also allows access to my advertiser and the Sushi restaurant also pictured above. There seems to be an issue getting up with Doug this afternoon, but this situation must be fixed today.

UPDATE: A poor sad figure in the anonymous world aka a coward has had their panties in a wad because I had typed their instead of there in the article which I have now fixed. It is really sad how lonely people have nothing better in life to do then stress out over an error.

Fight Club Crisfield Big Story From March

I'm not going to post the links but the youtube videos of fights in Crisfield at the Somers Cove apartments are quite disturbing. I realize that it is a known problem area but if you are at all familiar with Crisfield there are retirement rentals in the same area and I can only imagine the elderly people living in constant fear.

Jim Ireton At A Crossroads From March

As the latest political season nears it's end Jim Ireton finds himself at a big crossroads. Terry Cohen and Debbie Campbell have been against him in almost every venture except the safe streets legislation. He has seen support from the people he least expected it from (Gary, Louise and Shanie) and now faces the reality of finding people from the 6 running for Council who may help him get things done.

He has signs for Terry, Tim, Laura and Bruce Ford on his property but let's be realistic here. While again these candidates may be supporters of safe streets, most are not going to help Jim with his agenda. Jim has told many people how tired he is of Debbie and Terry, but he also realizes he doesn't have much help out there so he is crossing his fingers things will turn around.

Let me tell you if the Camden crowd gets the seats and Debbie becomes president, the only thing Jim will get accomplished before he is shown the door is the safe streets package. Nurse Tim is already aligned with Debbie and Terry so all the projects Jim is interested in (the bricks, Linens, and many others) will be shot down.I just think its amusing to watch Jim have to deal with the same crap Barrie Tilghman did with this crowd and see it from her perspective.

The Camden crowd have no future vision for Salisbury and have not had an original idea other than throw renters out since 2005. Debbie and Terry are known obstructionist and conspiracy theorist and we know Tim is a whacked out follower so we will sit still and watch all these great things pass us by.

UPDATE: This article was from March 25th and boy it is prophetic isn't it? We got Terry Cohen as President with Debbie as Vice President and the City has suffered ever since. All the projects mentioned they have fought against as I stated.

Local Police Agencies Need More K-9 Units From March

If there is one thing that has become obvious to Me over the weekend, it's that out local law enforcement agencies desperately need more K-9 units available for tracking. After doing some research it looks to be around 30,000 for a k9 unit which is something worth spending the money on.

The Salisbury Police Department desperately needs one, as they are constantly calling the Sheriff's Department for their K-9 which is usually already busy. The calls then spread to Somerset, Worcester and still 90% no k9 available. The best thing would be for all the lower shore counties to increase their K9 units so we aren't faced with the shortage we are currently seeing.

I have contacted our local officials with my concerns and want to add Chief Webster was pursuing grant funding for this unit prior to his departure.

UPDATE: This Story was from March 21st and on OCT 6th I was on hand to meet our new K-9 Miso with his handler Brandon Caton.

Mardela Springs Sex Abuse Story From March

I have been reading this news the last few days and I just am disgusted by several things. First these two animals that would violate the trust of taking care of the children in their care, and secondly whoever decided that these two were a good fit for a foster parent.

I have read nowhere that either of these two guys were married and it would cause me to be a tad bit leary of putting foster children in their care. I'm not saying that a single parent can't take care of a a foster child, but the living situation should be a huge determining factor for where they are placed. I always love hearing the bs about they were coerced, o yea I am sure the 17 year old twisted your arm to sodomize him. You are the adult you know it's wrong end of story.

I again must bring up the fact that Wicomico County seems to be full of these people and I have no idea why.

Editor's UPDATE: Stephan Merritt pled Guilty and was given 110 years in prison in August
Tracy Bayne pled Guilty and was given 20 years.

Wicomico County Council Elects Worst Council President Of All Time

This is the new photo of Joe Holloway showing a cut away of his brain. Yes it's mean but I don't care because Joe Holloway is a total embarrassment to the County Council. He has had failed business ventures in his past and never made it through High School or got his GED, and he is put in charge of our County Council good grief. I think honestly we could just place the box of rocks in his chair and get as much out of it.

Joe Holloway is another of those Debbie Campbell rejects that sit and point out all the flaws in things to look like he is a "watchdog" of the peoples money. In reality that is what we call people with no vision or thought toward moving forward as it is the easiest job to sit and criticize others ideas. I hope Matt Creamer is ready for a nightmare dealing with this Buffoon as he will need to call him to remind him of the meetings.

Terry Cohen Living The High Life On The Seas Thanks Taxpayers

Terry Cohen the second of our "financial watchdogs" has much in common with Debbie Campbell, they both are living lives of luxury and asking the Salisbury taxpayers to foot their insurance bill. It seems Terry has a Bristol 40 foot YACHT! shown above with plans to purchase another soon. You have got to be freaking kidding me. Debbie owns 3 homes, and Terry a Yacht and they are crying for us to pay for their insurance. I hope every citizen in Salisbury is outraged.

EDITOR'S NOTE: It only got worse when she became Council President now she treats the Citizens like we are her subjects not that she represents us.

Original Article from March

Japan From 1 Year Ago

Over the weekend, the situation in Japan only continued to get worse. Not only are they still experiencing aftershocks and recovering from the tsunami, but nuclear reactors in northern Japan were damaged. Badly damaged. These reactors were built to sustain earthquakes as strong as a 7, but not 8.9 like they experienced on Friday. There was a time over the weekend when the possibility of a meltdown was not out of the question. For now, it seems things are in the clear.
But the political fallout in the US has only just begun. Democrats in Washington are already embracing Rahm Emanuel's words of wisdom: Never let a good crisis go to waste. Here are two ways we are already seeing this happen ...
#1: In February, House Republicans approved a budget resolution that included $410 million in cuts for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This would include the National Weather Service, which operates weather monitoring stations to provide warning for natural disasters - like tsunamis. I'm sure you see where this is going ... so West Virginia Senator John Rockefeller (a Democrat) says that the disaster in Japan should be a "cruel wake-up call" to anyone who wants to cut the budget for the NOAA. He says that Republicans are proposing cuts that would "endanger lives."
#2: Get ready for a ramp up in anti-nuclear proponents. Over the weekend we had Senator Joe Lieberman declare that the US should issue a moratorium on any nuclear power projects until after the situation in Japan is investigated and we've determined any need for additional safety measures. Same reaction to the BP oil spill: Let's call for a moratorium! How's that working out for us? The only reason why politicians call for moratoriums is so they look like they are doing something in the wake of a disaster. It's all to justify their own political existence.

Salisbury Dog Park Opens

March 3rd the ribbon cutting was held at the Salisbury Dog park located at 430 North Park Drive. This is a nice little area and since its opening is quite the hangout for Dog owners.

Remembering Pearl Harbor 70 Years Later

70 years ago an event occurred in our history that changed the course of the world, the bombing of Pearl Harbor by the Japanese that brought us into WW2. Sadly this is also the last year for the Pearl Harbor survivors association as old age and illness have dwindled their numbers down to the point it is hard for them to continue. I hope children are educated about this tragic event and the sacrifice that was to come from this day that went down in infamy.
