If Not North Than Where?
We have seen massive growth on the North End of town over the past 20 years since the Centre was built, but now that almost every parcel up North is gone what other direction can the City grow? The East Side used to be the spot but again when the Mall was there.

Tear That Building Down
I am very disappointed in the fact that the Gillis grouped has jumped into this Thrift Travel Inn mess and have delayed the demolition of it because of this. This building needs to be torn down immediately.
Holidays and The Blogs
Each day this week and into next we will review the top stories of the year. January was Monday, February today so you get the idea. I can tell you I am trying to enjoy this beautiful holiday season and yet provide the most up to date news and reviews of incidents that happen without copy and pasting stories. I always try to provide a post an hour if possible but unlike others I am not chained to the computer all day in my "corporate" headquarters and not spending time with my actual family because I am on some quest to convince people I am on par with CNN.

Debbie Campbell Admits She Is Selfish
I have no words for this selfish thing, except some words that would offend many. I read the article in the Daily Times and as I have been screaming since 2009 this woman is disgusting. This is the quote from the paper.
"This isn't the first time Campbell and Cohen have wrangled with city health benefits. When Campbell was running for office in 2005 against former councilman Michael Day, she was opposed to the use of city health benefits."
"I am 100 percent in favor of the council receiving health insurance, but I find it pretty interesting that (Campbell) consistently in the campaign she ran against me adamantly said she thought it was terrible I'd taken it and would never do so," Day said when interviewed in 2009 prior to an Ethics Commission ruling on whether elected officials should be voting to give themselves health benefits.
In response, Campbell said in 2009 that her situation had changed since the 2005 campaign against Day"
Just look at the highlighted text, how long have I been telling you people this. HER situation changed so now she needs it. In 2005 SHE WAS OPPOSED!!!!
So who really is playing political BS games? that would be Debbie Campbell. She used Michael Day wanting Insurance against him in the 2005 Election, but because of her situation changing it's ok now what BS!!!

Tim Spies Launches Personal Attacks At Shanie Shields Gets Reprimanded by NAACP
In what is a shining example of the mentality of the Debbie Campbell mindless drone club, this idiot decides that at the NAACP forum he is going to launch personal attacks at the lone minority representative on the Council. This ass decides to attack Shanie Shields along with her deceased husband in an argument about Health Insurance.
Mary Ashanti the head of the Wicomico County NAACP quickly interrupted him and told him personal attacks were not what the Forum was about. There you go Salisbury another shining example of the morons that Debbie and Terry want to get on Council. These people have zero class and their behavior like this proves me right every time.

Tia Johnson Arrested For Theft At Walmart
Remember Tia Johnson? she is the girlfriend of Clarence "JR" Jackson. JR and Tia were the ones renting the house that Christine Sheddy was staying at when she disappeared. Tia's Cousin Justin Hadel was convicted of 1st degree murder later in the year in the case..Tia served 90 days in jail and is now out in the world again

Under 21 Club Controversy? 1 Year Ago
During the Third Friday Event I made it a point of asking lots of people what they thought of the under 21 nightclub coming to the Downtown Plaza. To be completely honest not one person I spoke to was in favor of it. The main concern is the possible crime issue this could bring to the area.
I did some research on the numerous other under 21 nightclubs like h20 in Ocean City and see that there are alot of potential problems with this. I also was disappointed to know that the owners and partners had yet to meet any Salisbury Police leaders to open a dialogue. I want to encourage this group to make introductions to the SPD and let us as the Citizens know you will work hard with them to keep this under control.
UPDATE: This post was made February 21st of last year and boy did this issue come to light during the year
