Problems At McCready?
I have received some information that a popular female Doctor has a lawsuit against the hospital and one of the Doctors on staff who had made accusations regarding her that were later found untrue by a review board. This should get interesting

Favorite Holiday Movie
Obviously mine is the Grinch, but every year I break out the Christmas themed movies I try to think of any others that I may be missing. One of the funniest is Four Christmases that I watched over the weekend again an also Elf.
Snow Hill Christmas Parade Tonight
The parade begins at 7pm on Colbourne Lane and will go down Church Street to Market Street. The judges’ stand is set up in front of the Worcester County Court House.

US Postal Service Makes Drastic Change
The US Postal Service is about to make some big changes and cut 3 billion in spending from their budget. 1/2 of all mail processing centers and over 3,500 Post Offices will be closed slowing down delivery of all mail. Mail Delivery use has dwindled over the years with electronic emails and the rising costs and I think this is probably a death blow to the service. It will never go away obviously, but I do believe this is what the future will be for the Post Office with few Post Offices and deliveries. I can hear sometime in the future children being like "they actually used to send letters that you wrote to each other?"
Salisbury Should Move Parade To Night
I know the Salisbury Christmas Parade is well attended every year but I think it misses something by being held in the daylight. The thing that makes the season the most beautiful are the lights and obviously in the daytime they are non existent. Pocomoke and Berlin have it down with nighttime parades that showcase the colors and sounds of this beautiful season. I would hope sometime maybe someone will give a Salisbury Christmas Parade a nighttime venue as it would make it 100x better.
Gabriel Giffords Shooting
The shooting of Arizona congresswoman Gabriel Giffords was one of the most disturbing events that happened way back on Jan 9th. The thing that bothered me then as it does now is the fact that people get o emotionally charged over things that they get to the point where violence seems the only answer. I had hoped that this incident would bring a calmer period to our nations politics but sadly it has made no difference.
Matt Maciarello Sworn In As Our New Wicomico County State's Attorney
One of the best stories of the year was Matt Maciarello being sworn in as Wicomico County States Attorney after years of dark clouds over that office under the leadership of Davis Ruark. It was standing room only for this event and everyone just about in the legal community was in attendance.
2011 Big News In Review Kristy Hickman and the Deleted Files
Well the first few day for Dan Powell in the Somerset County State's Attorneys Office was quite the event when he evidently came in to the heat being jacked up to almost 90 degrees and to find files had been deleted off the computers. We would later learn that 3 people including Kristy Hickman, Her Husband and Karen Dean were allegedly seen on surveillance going into the office the night before.
Kristy got a new job in Dorchester County in a job opened up by Dan crushing her in the election and after that Kristy went quietly into obscurity thank goodness. It looks like no punishment will be handed out for the episode but showed how childish some people can be.
Maho's Being Targeted?
As I reported here Saturday night http://www.lowereasternshorenews.com/2011/12/mahos-pizza-just-robbed.html Maho's seems to be having a lot of issues being robbed. After I posted my story Saturday I got an email from someone who was good friends with the employee that was pistol whipped in the parking lot and was informed that 2 weeks ago the very same employee was robbed at gunpoint on a delivery.
This seems to be more than just random when the same business keeps getting robbed. I remember Saturday night them mentioning a possible former employee that could be involved and after this information it would seem very possible if it turned out to be true.
