Apologies

I apologize for Archies post. I simply am not in the mood for that stuff today. I had initially heard about the idea and green lit it, but after returning home and seeing the content it had to come down. On a day that we lose a great man like Bob Caldwell the divisive language just felt wrong to me and so I removed it. I apologize to Archie and the readers who both supported it and left comments, and to the people who were offended by it.

Ok so we have some good ideas and discussions occurring and I wan to continue the progress. How do we get our Public Schools back to the glory days of the 80's without adjusting taxes?

New County Administrator To Be Chosen Today

Well Somerset today we will find out who the County Commissioners have chosen to replace Sam Boston. 21 people sent in resumes so they did have a few to pick from, let us hope they have made a wise decision.

Score One For Renters

I was glad to see that a victory was had for 4 families on poplar hill avenue who were targeted by Debbie, Terry and Tim. This goes back to the vindictive nature of this war on renters. The City wanted to kick 4 families out of their rental home because they believed it was an illegal conversion. TJ Maloney once again had to show them up proving the City had no way of proving that it wasn't legally conforming

The City cannot be in the business of going back to 1940 something trying to find a way to kick people out of an apartment. Have you ever ridden through those streets in Newtown and Poplar Hill Avenue areas? those homes are huge. With the change in the Country post WW2 this idealistic picket fence huge families that grow up together idea died. How many families are that large now that would even need a home that big? That is exactly why they are made for people to be able to rent them so we can provide a roof over everyone's head.

Imagine if they didn't have a TJ Maloney and took the City's word, they would have been tossed in the streets..4 families!!!The families have done nothing to Debbie Campbell or Terry Cohen but they would like to see them tossed because in their eyes they want Wally and the Beaver back.

Give Us 15 Minutes We Will Make You A Charter Amendment

The lies and manipulation that the Camden trio will put on display for the public are truly Academy award winning material.

They have a lengthy work session and after Paul Wilber leaves they begin a discussion of access to legal council that lasts about 15 minutes and in that small time they decide hey lets do a Charter Amendment and take it way from Jim. That is how it all went down nobody denied it.

They also claimed it was necessary because it was a core issue people have been complaining about for years. Let me throw the BS flag on that play. The only people that have been complaining about it are your mindless bunch of idiots. Let me add if our system of operation is so terrible and this change had to happen because soooo many people are upset, then why do only 2 other cities in Maryland have the system they want so badly?????

They can pull out all the imaginary "constituents" that manage to never show up for meetings but manage to just be so upset they ring their phone off the hook, when in reality the "constituents" are the same handful of people that have always been followers of their BS. I mean did anyone see the way follower  SJ Disharoon was acting because of the US Marshalls Office being nearby him? He was concerned about the dark windows on their cars. I bet in the right light the Fire training tower looks like an Alien craft to him as well. Of course then Kay Gibson can come up and talk down to you in her condescending she knows better voice after conferring with Debbie before the meeting. Dot Truitt had to be let go from the elderly concerned citizen role because she had to use notecards, Kay doesn't.

I mean they have total control now so there is no reason for their followers to be scared to show up and support them like they say they do. Barrie Tilghman isn't there, Mike Dunn or any of the other people they blamed for people not showing up to meetings. That shows you what BS that was. They are going to do what they want until they decide to leave so honestly while I will report on it I honestly don't care anymore

Salisbury Time For Change

If you have read my site over the past 3 years than you know that I love Salisbury as much as anyone, but it is obvious from the power moves that are being played now that our City form of Government is lost and it's time for us all to make a drastic change.

We need to immediately begin preparation to abolish the City Charter completely and merge the City into the County. The Cost Savings that could be had by such a move would solve many problems.

The first thing would be merge all the local municipality police agencies with the Sheriff's department and create a county wide police department with an appointed, not elected Chief.

Create a County Wide fire department keeping the paid units inside the Salisbury City limits. Water and Sewer given authority with separate bonding and borrowing authority, merge all other departments with the County which would then eliminate the dual taxation problems. The County Council would eliminate the 2 at large seats and divide the County into 7 equal parts. This is what must be done it is time to begin the work to make it happen.

I am sorry this must happen but we can't have the Camden neighborhood ruin our City anymore.
